GambleFi | Creating My First Crypto AI Slot Machine on Just.bet (WINR Protocol)
WINR Protocol & Just.bet History...
WINR Protocol has been around for some time in the crypto space, and it is one of the projects that kind of sold me in making a decent-sized investment. What they aim to do is to become the on-chain backend layer for crypto casino games. They provide the technology to build provably fair casino games and offer a payout liquidity pool which guarantees that winners will be paid all on-chain without any middlemen. Just bet is their own on-chain crypto casino developed by a seperate team.
It's been quite a long journey so far, initially with issues of gas fees and speed to a point where they moved to their own arbitrum side-chain to scale which saw a bit of adoption but still way too many technical issues, which killed the momentum. With the rise of things like pump.fun that easily allowed users to create their own coins and the AI boom, they changed direction and now made a platform where anyone can create their own ai-generated casino games which all are bundled and can be played on Just.bet.
Like many other crypto projects, they went from pure hype valuations based on potential future earnings to a point now where they are deemed dead at under a 1 Million Dollar Market Cap despite the fact that they have a working product. 20% of the casino earnings weekly go to those who Stake WINR. After this was on hold for the last 20 weeks or so, the dividends should be back Soon.

Account Creation & Login
It's really easy to create an account on Just.bet as it allows social media account logins or just connecting your metamask or other crypto wallets to it (600 Different ones are supported!)

Depositing funds is easy with either an direct transfer using the Arbitrum chain or other EVM options. There is a cost to creating your own Slot machine, which for me on my first attempt was just 9.1$ so you want some funds in your account, otherwise you won't be able to start the process.
Creating Your Own AI Slot
The entire process is actually quite straight forward. In the top right corner, there is a button 'Create A Game', when you press that, you will be directed to the page where you can choose your basic options. So far, only Slots are available, but there are plans to also bring other games in the near future.
Basically, you need to write a promt on what you want your slot game to be and choose video options (they cost extra as they need more AI processing power)
Since all the casino games right now that have been created are more character-based, I opted to add a Classic Fruit Style slot machine, hopefully standing out with a recipe that has been proven to work for many decades.

It took quite some time (over 30 Minutes) and it felt stuck at 88% at some point but it eventually, after some waiting, generated this...
After some tweaking, I managed to make it look more like this...
It looks like there was some change after I published it and I'm not sure where that came from. You can pretty much tweak everything but it's not always that easy as it requires to re-generate some things which each time costs 0.30$ or so which all is part of the estimated 10$ generation cost.
The symbol generation isn't always coming out as I wanted it so I needed to try multiple times. they also can't be changed from position in tiers as I wanted the purple lume as the lowest tier but I liked the symbol and could not just change it from position so I just went with what it was. You also need to align the text on the screen which seemed to change back if I entered mobile layout mode and back so it was a bit of a hassle. When I first pressed publish it also didn't work but a quick support ticket to the team quickly got that fixed after which I could publish it and now it's inbetween the slot machines players can choose from on Just.bet.
It is still possible for me to edit it further so nothing is final if you press the publish button.
Slot Machine Revenue Generation !
Once you have at least 1 slot published, you will be able to access the Studio page where you can see the performance of each of your slots along with your revenue generation. You can see how many different players have played on your slots, how many bets have been places and what the total value was. I assume the payouts (10% of the profit generated) is done weekly or so but I will need to see how it works going forward.
I created this one just to test out the platform, and I doubt it will become popular for me to make good money from it. I do think if you have the skill, and put in the effort to really create something great, you might just have one of the more popular slots on the platform and do really well. Right now, the competition isn't that great, but eventually there will be so many of these slots that yours will be hard to find unless it's really solid or unique.
Conclusion!
I had an absolute blast creating my own Slots game on Just.bet even though it by no means was a flawless process. I almost certainly will create at least 1 more Slot machine once I have a great idea and likely will put some more funds behind that one. I also can highly recommend to everyone who thinks this might be fun to test out creating their own as it potentially can pay back way more compared to what it cost over time especially if you have a great idea of the skills as some of the created games look really good. I will continue to keep an eye out on WINR Protocol and soon give an update on how things are going.
