"What are the best and most interesting stock exchanges to invest in that are included in your country's portfolio?"

Talking about investments from Venezuela is a somewhat complicated matter; we all know the serious economic and social problems we have faced for years. However, if we have to talk about stock exchanges in Venezuela, we undoubtedly have to refer to the Caracas Stock Exchange (BVC). This is the only operating exchange in the country. The BVC is the financial center where stocks, bonds, and other financial instruments are bought and sold within Venezuela. It is regulated by the National Securities Superintendency (SUNAVAL) and operates primarily through brokerage firms.
What can we find on the BVC:
From what I've researched, two main types of assets are traded:
|Investment Type|What is it?|Examples in Venezuela |
-|-|-|
|Equity (Stocks)|You become the owner of a "small part" of the company. You profit if the stock price rises or if dividends are paid.|Banco Mercantil, Ron Santa Teresa, CANTV, Banco Provincial.|
|Fixed Income (Debt)|You lend money to a company in exchange for repayment with interest within a specified time.| Commercial Paper and Bonds (many are currently indexed to the dollar).|
In Venezuela, when we talk about the concept of "Dollar-Indexed", it means that the value of your money is "tied" or "protected" by the price of the dollar. This way, your investment isn't wiped out if the exchange rate rises. This is due to the economic instability the country is experiencing.
However, despite the country's severe financial crisis and even under economic pressure, the Venezuelan stock market presents interesting opportunities. Established companies have successfully listed on the BVC (Venezuelan Stock Exchange), such as:
In the Financial Sector
Banco Nacional de Crédito (BNC): It is currently one of the most traded stocks. It has shown aggressive growth in its market share after acquiring other banks.
Banco Provincial (BPV): It is preferred by institutional investors for its efficient management and international backing (BBVA).
Mercantil Servicios Financieros (MVZ.A and MVZ.B): The Venezuelan "classic." It offers stability in the banking sector.
Banco de Venezuela (BVL): Since its opening to the capital markets (issuing new shares), it has experienced significant price increases, representing a bet on the recovery of the public sector.
Consumption and Exports
Ron Santa Teresa (RST): It's the "darling" of the stock market. As a company with foreign currency revenue from its exports to more than 30 countries, its stock tends to behave very resiliently in the face of local devaluation.
CANTV (TDV.D): Although it's a service company, its active return to the stock market has generated a lot of interest. It's a very volatile stock (it rises and falls sharply), which makes it attractive to those seeking quick profits in the short term. (Personally, I don't have much fondness for this public company due to its inefficiency and technological stagnation.
And finally, in the Industrial and Materials Sector, there are two quite interesting options:
Sivensa (SVS): It has had an impressive start to 2026 with double-digit growth. It's a "value" stock for those who believe in the country's industrial reactivation.
Envases Venezolanos (ENV): A leader in its sector, closely linked to the mass consumption of food and beverages.

These are companies that, despite all the adverse situations the country has faced, have managed to stay afloat and That, in my opinion, is a great strength. Imagine the resilience these companies must possess to have managed to stay afloat and become a global benchmark even in extremely difficult situations.
In my opinion, a company that thrives in adversity demonstrates an intrinsic value that few organizations in the world can match. They are the best example that excellence knows no borders or crises.
I hope this brief overview of the Caracas Stock Exchange and its potential companies, along with my humble opinion, has been enjoyable and met your expectations. I'm just beginning to explore the world of finance and dust off some terminology I learned during my university days. Thank you for reading. Blessings to all.

Mercantil Servicios Financieros (MVZ.A y MVZ.B): El "clásico" venezolano.

Greetings @cositav, your presentation on the Caracas Stock Exchange, a very fashionable topic lately, is very enjoyable, and it's quite true that Ron's company has been one of the best, as has the evolution of Banco de Venezuela Spectacular! They stopped providing terrible service and are now one of the best banks in the country.
