The Voice Beyond the Steam

Weary, steps into the shower. Steam rises as she drifts into a trance. Then, faintly, a voice. Her heart stills. "Samuel... is that you?" Silence answers back. Only the water speaks. Realizing, she bolts the lock, resting against the door.
