Splinterlands - Social Media Challenge - A Battle of Rewards Cards

Hello Friends,

Happy mid week and I hope you are doing fine.

The days have become busier and the work has been increasing for me as I continue to balance my Nine to Five job and the Blockchain activities.

Inspite of all the work pressure, I still continue to visit Splinterlands and play few battles everyday and MoonKarts on ArcadeColony is a new obsession for me as I am accumulating the COLONY tokens more and more as the MoonKarts game is becoming more interesting for me.

Inspite of all this, Splinterlands still remains my #1 Blockchain game and I continue to play these games day in and day out.

For this week's Social Media Challenge, I am bringing out an interesting Wild format game involving cards from almost all the major editions we have in Splinterlands and interestingly, 5 of these cards are rewards cards which play an important role in these battles we play.

So, let's go and see which cards I used and why I used those and how the battle went on.

Battle and Lineup:

The battle I am sharing is with 50 MANA cost cap and just had one rule set of up to eleven which is all about having amplify ability to all the monsters used in the battle.

Considering the huge MANA cost available for the battle, I used below combination of monsters.

Lineup:

1. Almo Cambio:

The amplify rule set enables monsters like this with huge advantage as this monster is with phase, return fire, magic reflect and immune abilities and is also with huge health of 16 to keep itself active for many rounds.

Since, I had planned to use Arachne Weaver as one of these monsters, this monster was assured of being undefeated in this battle.

2. Clockwork Aide:

Clockwork Aide is with rust ability and is also having good number of armors and was specifically used for the opportunity ability monsters and also to utilize it's swift ability.

While rust helps in reducing armors from opponent's monsters, swift will increase the speed of all ally monsters.

3. Arachne Weaver:

The is is the age of corrupted healing monsters, leave about tank heal and healing monsters and this monster with corrupted healing ability is one of the best rewards cards from Rebellion edition I should say.

It's 2 magic attack is always a bonus and it can keep increasing it's health with scavenger ability.

4. Sand Worm:

image.png

This is one of the best rewards cards from all editions as it is a monster with huge attack of 7 when maxed out and being a sneak attack monster with piercing ability, it can almost takeout a monster in each round!!!

5. Lira The Dark:

image.png

Every battle needs an opportunity ability monster and Lira The Dark is an expert in opportunity attack as it also comes with swift ability and has huge speed of 6 with 4 ranged attack when maxed out.

6. Harklaw:

Lastly, I used another rewards card in the form of *Harklaw which is a melee attack monster.

Wondering why this monster with melee attack is placed in last potion when it can't attack from there? Well, there is a reason for that.

The reason is that, we do have many good sneak ability monsters in wild format and it's always a best bet to place an immune ability monster with shield ability with armors in the last position to be ready for sneak attack.

With Arachne Weaver already in the lineup, this monster will keep getting it's health regained in each round and keep itself active in the battle although not attacking until it moves to front position!!!

The battle went for multi levels courtesy of huge MANA cost cap and wonderful monsters we have.

As always, sharing few screenshots from the battles just to showcase how the battle went.

As we could see from this battle, if we have a good summoner, we can make a huge battle out of it with just the rewards cards we have from different editions we have in Splinterlands!!!

Every card in Splinterlands is definitely worth for one or other battle type and even no attack play such a vital role as in Almo Cambio in this battle.

There are huge monstrous monsters like Sand Worm with 7 attack!!!

All in all, it's always nice to have these rewards cards and play the battle with those.

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog with details of the blog.

Wishing you all a great day and happy battling :)

Thanks and Have a good day :)
