A very happy Sunday to my fellow hivers, welcome to the creative Sunday Initiative on hive learner where everybody is given a chance to display whatever skill dey possess. For my own entry into this wonderful activity, I'll be doing a cover to lucid dream by the artist juice wrld.
Seven years ago I stumbled on an artist while I was lazily looking for something to watch as it was just another boring Sunday after. I was still a teenager then and so I decided to just watch music videos on MTV Base and the moment I switched to the channel, the very song that was just happened to Lucid dreams, this was my first encounter with Juice Wrld. At first I thought the song sounded off, different from what I was used too and grew up loving but as I listened to the very end I realized this was more than just a song, this song was a clear reflection of my personal love because I was going through a really messy break up.

Lucid dreams was more than just a song to call out an unworthy partner, it was more like a cry for help - something I desperately needed at that point. The most painful part about everything was the fact that I ended up wanting this person despite every pain she caused just like the artist and that made me love him even more.
After listening to the song I decided to look for more of his works and found out his songs were the very things I needed to cope : war against love. Juice Wrld did not just sing about love , bro talked about things that hurt him, things he can't stop like drug abuse, anxiety, depression etc. I may not relate with him on a lot of things but I was able to channel my pain into something productive and that is one reason he still remains my favorite artist to this very day, May his soul Rest in Peace.
