Greetings everyone, hope we all had a splendid weekend. This is another week here on Hive Open Mic and to I say welcome mi familia this new is definitely going to work in our favour. I remain my humble self @coderaikiri and for this edition, my entry will be an acapella cover to the song I celebrate my waconzy.
There is just something about this song that makes it very relatable especially with all the troubles that comes with living. Growing up this song was quite popular during the early 2000s, I never really understood what the artist was singing but enjoyed the song regardless. As I grew older, the lyrics started to make more sense, it wasn't the ordinary secular music one dance to because it was popping. It was a young man telling his story, how hard things were for him, his absentee father, losing a good life at a young age, how things never really turned out well until God took over and turned his story around. It was a sound of appreciation thanking the Heavenly Father for coming through when no one else did, overcoming all life had to through at him and becoming the man he is today. He had nothing but now he is super duper bigger so why won't he celebrate, why won't he sing to the one who made it all possible and allowing those who doubted him see it happen.
My favourite part of the song is where he is thanking God for being alive to see another, thanking him for forgiving him despite his sins and being able to celebrate.
Overall the song is one of gratitude, appreciation and prayers. So whatever it is you are going through, celebrate because victory is actually closer than you think.
