Steam's amazing system that ALL companies should copy [ ENG - ESP ]

One of the most important video game companies, creators of both industry-defining titles and platforms that do the same and remain dominant to this day, Valve has always been, for me, the mirror most companies should look at if they want to please gamers. Its foundation, Steam, is one of the most enjoyable experiences I remember on PC.

Source

There's a huge catalog in every sense. This is where most of the indie games I've noticed are located. There are all the demos for upcoming titles that let players install and play whatever the developers have at the time. There's a number of offerings that can't be surpassed by any other platform, aside from this one. post

There's a system that clearly defines what Steam means to the player, one that values the player's money and is understandable in situations like buying a game one day and the next Steam has a sale that significantly reduces its price.

Source

Steam refunds are something that other platforms like Epic Games or GoG have to closely monitor. It seems like something mundane or unimportant, but the important thing is how the player perceives it in these cases. The individual has just enough money to buy video games, the vast majority of which are not. Cheap

Source

Common Steam refunds work like this: You buy a video game and install it on your PC. You play it for less than two hours and decide that you didn't like it or that it's not worth the money you paid. In that case, Steam refunds everything. Money back, no questions asked, if it's been less than 14 days since purchase.

But what happens to the player who bought the game, played it for more than 2 hours, but after 4 days, a sale appears on Steam that reduces the price by 70%?

Source

Well, it's a response that surprised me on their part, and something worth noting in an industry that is marked today more than ever by companies using every trick in the book to get money from players.

And if it hasn't been too long since you made the purchase, you'll be able to return it. According to official comments from some Steam managers, the priority will ALWAYS be the user, so if you haven't had much time with the game, you'll be able to return it.

Source

This is something I was able to test for myself a few weeks ago when I bought a video game I'd been wanting to play for some time, and ONE DAY LATER they offered a 40% discount.

I didn't mind the extra price because this game was quite good, but it's always good to have a little extra money for more games. And Steam has you covered in this case, which, if we think about it, would be great if it were the industry standard.

Steam is one of my favorite platforms, I've gotten video games for free as I've had to buy some when they have those totally awesome sales, as I've also had the chance to buy a game at 5$ and tomorrow you find it for free XD

Steam is a clear winner, love their practices. The only time I want to support a monopoly is with Steam lol. In a world where corporate greed is taking over everything, someone thinks about the user experience.

if there is one monopoly I appreciate it is steam, they have had their faults but the return to the players far outweighs the bad
