Walking my sister to school 🍀✨ (eng-esp)

Hello to all the participants of the #WednesdayWalk community. I am pleased to return here to continue sharing this vital act of my daily routine, along with so many enthusiasts of this exercise.

Today I want to highlight something that I usually do and that I overlook, even when it is part of my daily life: walking with my sister to school. Because yes, having younger siblings usually also means taking on responsibilities so as not to burden our parents.

Personally, I like to help, as I also like to take on this task because it means that I can have quality time with my sister. I know that these actions that usually seem repetitive and irrelevant tend to have a positive impact on the growth of children, which in the future promotes a healthy relationship between siblings.

Therefore I accompany her at this time of the day. We walk, and our interaction depends on her mood. Most of the time she seems like she doesn't want to go to school (even though she loves being there). I don't let myself be affected by this bad mood, but I avoid long conversations anyway and choose to give her some space.

Sometimes, on the other hand, she is quite lively, and then I take the opportunity to review the math and English classes. Sometimes I even dare to sing nursery rhymes to her in a very ridiculous way. People on the street look at me like I'm crazy, but she laughs a lot.

During our walk we can appreciate the typical architecture of the houses in the neighborhood. There are really not many colorful buildings, but I am glad that in almost all the blocks there are small spaces of green areas, which causes a good environmental impact.

The most important building in our whole journey is a church that is next to the corner of the school. Its architecture has always seemed a little curious to me, and there are many people who congregate there.

And a few steps we have already reached our destination. Or at least my sister, since I have to follow my route to work, although I've already talked about that journey before.

Hola a todos los participantes de la comunidad de #WednesdayWalk. Me complace regresar por aquí para seguir compartiendo este acto vital de mi rutina diaria, junto a tantos entisuiastas de este ejercicio.

Hoy quiero resaltar algo que normalmente hago y que paso por alto, incluso cuando forma parte de mi día a día: caminar con mi hermana a la escuela. Porque sí, tener hermanos menores normalmente significa también asumir responsabilidades para no sobrecargar a nuestros padres.

A mí en lo personal me gusta ayudar, como también me gusta asumir esta tarea ya que significa que puedo tener un tiempo de calidad con mi hermana. Sé que estas acciones que por lo general parecen repetitivas e irrelevantes tienden a tener un impacto positivo en el crecimiento de los niños, lo que en un futuro propicia una relación saludable entre hermanos.

Por tanto la acompaño en este momento del día. Caminamos, y nuestra interacción depende de su estado de ánimo. La mayoría de las veces ella parece que no quiere ir a la escuela (a pesar de que ama estar allí). No me dejo afectar por este mal humor, pero de todas maneras evito las conversaciones largas y opto por darle su espacio.

A veces, en cambio, ella se encuentra bastante animada, y entonces aprovecho para ir repasando las clases de matemáticas y de inglés. A veces incluso me atrevo a canterle canciones infantiles de manera muy ridícula. Las personas en la calle me miran como si estuviese loco, pero ella se ríe mucho.

Durante nuestra caminata podemos apreciar la arquitectura típica de las casas del vecindario. Realmente no hay muchas construcciones vistosas, pero me alegra que en casi todas las cuadras hayan pequeños espacios de áreas verdes, lo que causa un buen impacto medioambiental.

El edificio más importante en todo nuestro trayecto es una iglesia que está junto en la esquina de la escuela. Su arquitectura siempre me ha parecido un poco curiosa, y allí son muchas las personas que se congregan.

Y a pocos pasos ya llegamos a nuestro destino. O por lo menos mi hermana, ya que yo debo seguir mi ruta hasta el trabajo, aunque ya de ese trayecto he hablado antes.
