(Eng) Shinsengumi Kitan: Love and order protected by a sword / Shinsengumi Kitan: El amor y el orden protegidos por una espada (Esp)

The Samurai code is something very well known, many men lived under that code many years ago, and some were very well known, so much so that in the anime world they are presented in many ways, I am referring to the Shinsengumi, a historical force that existed under the shogunate, of which many things can be highlighted.

Under the Hakuouki franchise, the video game was adapted to anime, and I must say it was excellent. Shinsengumi Kitan, takes us to a group of Samurai who are part of this coveted group, which is responsible for maintaining order in the city.

But historically there have always been groups of Samurai who oppose the government and that way there are excellent battles. That same thing we have in this anime, but it is not the totality of it, although there are interesting fights, there is a little deeper plot that captures the attention of the viewers.

El código del Samurái es algo muy conocido, muchos hombres vivieron bajo ese código hace muchos años, y algunos fueron muy conocidos, tanto así que en el mundo del anime son presentados de muchas maneras, me refiero al Shinsengumi, una fuerza histórica que existió bajo el shogunato, de la cual se pueden resaltar muchas cosas.

Bajo la franquicia Hakuouki, se adaptó el videojuego al anime, y debo decir que fue excelente. Shinsengumi Kitan, nos lleva a un grupo de Samuráis que forman parte de este ansiado grupo, el cual se encarga de mantener el orden en la ciudad.

Pero históricamente siempre ha habido grupos de Samuráis que se oponen al gobierno y de esa forma se dan excelentes batallas. Eso mismo tenemos en este anime, pero no es la totalidad del mismo, si bien hay combates interesantes, hay una trama un poco más profunda que capta la atención de los espectadores.

In my case it was like this, I am a lover of dramas and combats, so this story fell like a ring to my finger. Its characters are very well designed, they are Samurai but with an impeccable appearance, example of this, Hijikata, the vice commander of the group, which has a lot of personality.

One of the most outstanding things in this story, is the ideal by which the members of the Shinsengumi are managed, for them their life is not important, but to maintain order, that people are safe, and that the governmental stability is also.

It is interesting how this group generated fear every time they went out to the streets, their job was to patrol, but it is evident the fear that people have of them, just by seeing them, they would move away and clear the way for them. That kind of fear and even reverence, reminded me of many years of my childhood, where there was a group called URI, they were not samurai evidently, but an immediate response unit, and without a doubt, generated fear every time they went out to the streets because you could know what was coming.

Something like that is this group but with swords, however in this series, there is a supernatural element that has a lot of weight, in fact it gives a special touch to the plot because this group belongs to the enemies, and they are demons with human appearance.

En mi caso fue así, soy amante de los dramas y los combates, por lo que esta historia me cayó como anillo al dedo. Sus personajes muy bien diseñados, son Samuráis pero con una apariencia impecable, ejemplo de esto, Hijikata, el vicecomandante del grupo, el cual tiene mucha personalidad.

Una de las cosas más resaltantes en esta historia, es el ideal por el cual se manejan los miembros del Shinsengumi, para ellos su vida no es importante, sino mantener el orden, que las personas estén seguras, y que la estabilidad gubernamental también lo este.

Es interesante como este grupo generaba miedo cada vez que salía a las calles, su labor era patrullar, pero es evidente el temor que le tienen las personas, con solo verlos se apartaban y les despejaban el camino. Ese tipo de temor e incluso reverencia, me recordó muchos años de mi infancia, donde había un grupo llamado URI, no eran samuráis evidentemente, sino una unidad de respuesta inmediata, y sin duda alguna, generaba temor cada vez que salía a las calles pues se podía saber lo que se venía.

Algo así es este grupo pero con espadas, sin embargo en esta serie, hay un elemento sobrenatural que tiene mucho peso, de hecho le da un toque especial a la trama porque este grupo pertenece a los enemigos, y son demonios con apariencia humana.

Then we have the Shinsengumi versus the demons, an uneven battle for the supernatural touch, yet it is still very striking because love makes an appearance. Chizuru, a female demon who has no idea who she really is, comes under the protection of Hijikata and the rest of the samurai.

I think the adaptation combines many interesting elements and delivers a very decent product, in fact there are several adaptations of Hakuouki to anime, this is just one of them, but in the others, the same characters are involved, just in another context. I really like what DEEN studio did, I have no complaints, and even more considering that this is only the adaptation of a video game and some manga.

Finally and to conclude, I consider that it is not an anime for all kinds of people, but for those who appreciate drama, realism, surrealism, and impossible loves, because this production in essence is that and a little more, it is as if you were watching a story read, a novel, etc. that is the atmosphere.

Entonces tenemos al Shinsengumi contra los demonios, una batalla dispareja por el toque sobrenatural, aun así es muy llamativa porque el amor hace acto de presencia. Chizuru, una mujer demonio que no tiene idea de quien es en realidad queda bajo la protección de Hijikata y el resto de los samuráis.

Pienso que la adaptación combina muchos elementos interesantes y entrega un producto muy decente, de hecho hay varias adaptaciones de Hakuouki al anime, esta es solo una de ellas, pero en las otras, participan los mismos personajes, solo que en otro contexto. Realmente me gusta mucho lo que hizo el estudio DEEN, no tengo quejas, y más teniendo presente que esto es solo la adaptación de un videojuego y algunas mangas.

Por último y para concluir, considero que no es un anime para todo tipo de personas, sino para aquellos que aprecian el drama, el realismo, lo surreal, y los amores imposibles, porque esta producción en esencia es eso y un poco más, es como si estuvieras viendo una historia leída, una novela, etc. ese es el ambiente.
