In this Ova we are shown what the famous Battousai was like, and let me tell you, he is nothing like the Kenshin who fights with a dull sword. In this Ova, we can see the rawness of the pieceworker in full swing, but also all the factors that lead him to become a wanderer and seek redemption.

I particularly loved it, because it is faithful to the manga, perhaps the animation lacks a little of what we know due to the studio that adapted it. That's why there are slight differences in the faces of the characters, but leaving that aside, the work they did was very complete, exquisite you could say, and if you are a fan of Rurouni Kenshin you will surely enjoy them.

Initially we are shown when Kenshin is rescued by Hiko Seijuro on that fateful night when he was also going to be killed as a child. Then the author reveals part of his training but also his thoughts and ideals, which led him to leave his master and take the path of the sword to free the people from the oppression of the Shogunate.

En esta Ova se nos muestra como era el famoso Battousai, y déjame decirte que no es nada parecido al Kenshin que lucha con una espada sin filo. En esta Ova podemos ver la crudeza del destajador en pleno apogeo, pero también todos los factores que lo llevan a convertirse en vagabundo y buscar la redención.

Particularmente me encanto, porque es fiel al manga, quizás la animación carece un poco de lo que conocemos debido al estudio que la adapto. Por eso es que hay ligeras diferencias en el rostro de los personajes, pero dejando eso de lado, el trabajo que hicieron fue muy completo, exquisito se podría decir, y si eres seguidor de Rurouni Kenshin seguramente las disfrutaras.

Inicialmente se nos muestra cuando Kenshin es rescatado por Hiko Seijuro en esa fatídica noche cuando él también iba a ser asesinado siendo solo un niño. Después el autor revela parte de su entrenamiento pero también sus pensamientos e ideales, los cuales lo llevaron a dejar a su maestro y a tomar el camino de la espada para liberar al pueblo de la opresión del Shogunato.

Uno tiene muchas ideas de cómo pudo ser Kenshin en su pasado, pero acá se nos muestra muy detalladamente. Literalmente fue un asesino, contratado por un grupo que buscaba la restauración del gobierno, un grupo que encajaba con sus ideales, por eso se unió a ese bando y lucho contra el Shogunato, eliminando personas importantes, y también haciendo frente al Shinsengumi, donde tenemos a Saito como uno de los capitanes de más alto nivel.
