Legacy to be remembered

Good day, amazing people of the Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #indiaunited community. I am so delighted to participate in this week's prompt. How do you want to be remembered?

The world is not our home; one day we will leave this earth. We will be remembered by the good legacy. Most times I ask myself, 'What will I be remembered for? If tomorrow I am not breathing again, what is that thing people will talk about? Will it be good or bad?' There are some opportunities I am enjoying today; this is as a result of the good legacy my father left behind. I always ask myself if I am benefiting from the legacy my dad left. What legacy will I leave for my unborn generation? Will it be something they will be proud of or disappointed in?

Things I want to be remembered for:

Currently, if I should live in the now, it will be a great loss to my community, and they will remember this. Even when I am no more, after my NYSC, I want to go back to my hometown. I notice that the community school in my hometown is nothing to write home about; my people learn under the trees because there is no classroom for them to learn in. I was so devastated seeing how these kids are suffering to learn instead of learning in a comfortable environment.

I have to write to our local government chairman, bringing to his notice how bad my community school was. I wanted a reply from him, and I didn’t receive any reply from him. I have to go the extra mile for the kids. I love the fact that they are so determined to learn; even under rain, these kids are going to school.

I have to reach out to the old boys and old girls of this community school because the school has produced successful people. I have to unite them through WhatsApp, and I send the state of the community school to them andhelp to renovate the school.

Immediately they saw the state of the school; they were so devastated, and immediately they started contributing money to renovate the school. Someone from the old boys is a civil engineer, and he was awarded the contract to renovate the school. That is how the old boys and old girls came to our help.

Even till today my community is still singing praise of me. I am this kind of person that is selfless; I always think of people around me before I think of myself.

I want to be remembered as a peacemaker. I love staying in an environment where there is peace. I so much dislike conflict; that is why I try my best to always make sure people around me are happy and living in peace and harmony. Where there is peace, there is growth, there is prosperity, and there is life. If we all live in peace, life will be sweet for all of us, but when we are not like that, peace destroys community and nation. I want to be remembered by this. I want to be remembered as someone who lived a selfless life.

When I am no more, I want to be remembered for the good things I do for the people around me. I want to be remembered as a heroine of my community, someone that my community will always sing of my praise even when I am no more. My generation to come will benefit because of the good legacy I left behind.
