Day 53: Finding !BBH commands is a pain.
Finding BOT calls
Now if you have been around HIVE for a while you will know that there are tipping bots like !BBH, !PIZZA, !BEER and many others. I have never really used them much as I would just upvote and comment.
However, I have been thinking that being able to call the GLD curator to look at a post would be useful. My thought was to implement a !GLD bot which would look for people who added !GLD to their post. The idea being that the bot would watch for the call, make a list and anything that passes a cursory check would get a !BBH response and after a manual review get a curator upvote.
However, looking for !GLD is impossible as it is a command that hasn't been implemented so why would anyone put it in their posts. Result: I thought I would look for !BBH to get the logic down.
What a P I T A
Error after error after error. Result: I'll try to find another way to do it later. I still like the idea but the implementation eludes me for now.
On another note I got a message earlier today that the HIVE Faucet from yesterday didn't work. @fnzcmd messaged me that it didn't work. I checked the logs and the first trial didn't work but later in the day it did. I love having immutable logs on HIVE so I can see what happened. I'm not saying that the bot is ready for prime time if you use it then it is AS IS but then again, I'm glad one person got one distribution. Horray!
Pausing HELIOS purchases for a moment
Now if you have read my previous posts I am absolutely bullish on HELIOS. Very useful token with a strong upside potential in the long run. I absolutely still believe that.
However recently it had a strong push way higher than I thought was a good idea. At one point it was hovering at 3.85 HIVE per HELIOS. That is a problem. The higher HELIOS goes the fewer HELIOS are needed to call the helios.voter. The problem with that is the cheaper it gets the more people start calling the voter and the more likely a call is to be ignored because of lack of voting power.
I stopped buying HELIOS for the short term to let it stabilize at a lower level than it is at currently. That doesn't mean I will stop buying.... I'm still bullish but I'm focusing on EDSI for the next while. I like the fact that it pays liquid HIVE and ideally I'll start building a weekly HIVE drip. As much as I like the capital gains of HELIOS going up, I also like predictable weekly income.

What to work on next
I'm still deciding what to do for the GLD project.
I really like the idea of implementing a !GLD call but that might be beyond me for the moment.
I have a lot of different web apps and bots but right now they are all scattered on different URL's. I'm thinking it might be wise to actually make a better website and bundle everything together in one place so it is easier for me to keep track of everything rather than have a bunch of different tabs open in my browser.

I mean...
One Supabase tab
One Netlify tab
... and 9 different GLD websites for various functions.
I think ONE useful website where everything is bundled is better.
But I'm also wanting to get NFT's working.
Right now I have the NFT's in an almost ready state.
I can mint NFT's
I can move NFT's
I can label the NFT's for different functions
I can even watch real world stock events to trigger NFT's to payout online distributions to their holder.
What I don't have is a way to sell NFT's to different accounts and buyback those NFT's when the holder no longer wants them. I'm absolutely not going to try and make a buy and sell marketplace as I want this to be a closed loop "Sandbox" trial rather than a financial marketplace that has the possibility of becoming a securities nightmare.
Still.
A nice looking website
... the ability to buy and sell coins
... the ability to buy NFT's that perform different financial or other functions
Will get me a lot closer to my overall goal for the GLD community.
After that all works?
Then I can start getting the Dragons started
.. get the dragons powering up
.. get !ASH, !CINDER and other commands ready for users to support their favorite dragons
.. and get battles going.
hahahahaha...
I've wanted that for a year now. But at least things are becoming a little more solid in my mind and at least the financial basis of things is firming up as well as the NFT's.
But still so much work to do (sigh)
Thanks for listening to me ramble. Appreciate the view ;)
