Greetings SplinterLovers πŸ’™

I hope everyone is having a good weekend, now in the vast world of Splinterlands have you ever wondered what makes a common card truly special? In a game full of "Legendary Dragons," powerful wizards and mythical beasts, sometimes it's the most underrated cards that hold the true potential, in fact, I've always said it, the most underrated cards are the ones that can surprise you, that's why today we're going to dive into the depths of the "Water" element to explore one of these hidden cards: I'm talking about Tidal Tsunamist, which at first glance is a simple common rarity warrior, but hides a combination of abilities that make her a true wild card on the battlefield.

From her imposing design, to her combination of abilities, Tidal Tsunamist is proof that you don't have to be a legendary card to dominate the Splinterlands arenas, so get ready to find out why this creature, which looks like a sea nightmare, is an ace up your sleeve that can change the course of any battle.

Tidal Tsunamist is a hybrid creature, half fish and half human, which radiates an impressive energy in its design, its scaly skin and light greenish tone, merges perfectly with a fish tail that ends in dark green fins, basically it is what we know as "Mermaid", the upper part of its body is covered by an armor of purple and red tones, with plates that seem to be made of coral or some marine precious stone, which gives it a very elegant look, not to mention that in its armor it has drawings of "Runes" species.

Her hair, a vibrant and dynamic green, flows upwards as if it were submerged in a powerful current, on the other hand, the color of her eyes is barely noticeable, which are a yellow that flashes intensely, capturing the essence of an approaching storm or that's what it makes me think, in the image, it is surrounded by fragments of ice or water crystals that break with an explosive force around it, this being a quite striking aesthetic aspect, as a whole one could say that the design combines the beauty of the deep sea with the unstoppable force of a "Siren".

The true value of Tidal Tsunamist is not only focused on its appearance, but also has a lot to do with its abilities and stats, which complement and/or combine in a very interesting way.

  • Sneak (At Level 1): This ability allows it to attack the last monster on the enemy team. This is great because it allows you to eliminate support monsters, such as healers or weak archers who usually hide at the end of the formation, either to provide support, or in a way to leave a secret weapon at the end, in addition, with the life and armor that the Tidal Tsunamist has, it is able to resist and eliminate those key targets before your opponent reacts, since it is very resistant even at this level.

  • Repair (At Level 5): When Tidal Tsunamist reaches this level, it gains the ability to repair the armor of the ally most affected by the opponent's attacks. Imagine this: your main tank is about to fall, but just in time, Tidal Tsunamist restores its armor, giving it an extra round to keep fighting. It's the perfect card to support your front line, keeping it strong and protected while you take care of the opponent's back line. (Support and Offensive) in one.

  • Fury (At Level 8): This is the icing on the cake. Upon reaching level 8, the Tidal Tsunamist deals double damage to any unit with the Taunt ability. Taunt is the ability that forces your monsters to attack a single card, and with this combination, the Tidal Tsunamist becomes a tank killer. It is capable of eliminating the enemy's main defender with a single blow and opening the way for your team, which is crazy, in fact, there are many occasions where players apply this strategy, and it is ideal that we take this card into account, to cause unimaginable damage of up to 8 points of damage.

Knowing when to use a card is as important as knowing how it works. Here are a couple of tips on the best and worst battle rules to play "Tidal Tsunamist" correctly.

Best Rules for Zyrx βœ…

  • Equalizer: All monsters have the same amount of health as the card with the most health. Tidal Tsunamist, which already has good health points, becomes even more resistant in this battle, which gives it more time to use its Repair and Sneak ability, and with its great maximum attack power, which is 4 points, it has plenty of time to deal very good damage.

  • Rise of the Commons: This rule only allows the use of Common and Rare rarity cards. Tidal Tsunamist, as a Common card, becomes a high-quality option with its three very good and versatile abilities, offering "Support and Offensive" in one.

  • Armored Up: All cards get +2 additional armor points, and with Tidal Tsunamist's Repair ability it becomes indispensable, it will have much more to repair, so its ability will be of vital importance to keep your team alive and also gets more resistance with +2 shield points.

Worst Rules for Zyrx ❌

  • Little League: In this rule, only monsters with 4 mana or less are allowed. Tidal Tsunamist has a mana cost of 5, which excludes it from the battle completely. Therefore, it cannot be used.

  • Fog of War: This is the worst rule for Tidal Tsunamist. It disables all positional attack abilities like Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity. With this rule, the Tidal Tsunamist will simply attack the first monster only if it is in the first position, losing the advantage that its Sneak ability gives it. It's better to save it for another occasion.

  • Briar Patch: This rule is very detrimental to "Tidal Tsunamist", since all units gain the "Thorns" ability, which causes indirect damage to all who attack physically like our card, so, using this card is counterproductive and we will not be able to really take advantage of its abilities.

Tidal Tsunamist is a common type card that can surprise anyone on the battlefield, it is a monster with a very strategic combination of abilities: it attacks the weakest monsters in the rear with its Sneak ability, supports its team with Repair and becomes a monster with an incredible "Offensive" with its Fury ability. Knowing when to use it will give you a great advantage, and best of all, it is a card that does not require a large investment to use in most battles. Without a doubt, it is a card that you should consider having in your water element collection.

With nothing further to add, until next time, "Splinterlords."
