After my first 2 "Whale For A Day" attempts my WILD bot is still sucking terribly. So I decided for once to put some thought into my actions before I made those... well actions.

As I was putting sooo much thought into it, I came up with my next course of action. For so long I was just trying to have 1 of each card in a set. I figured a "Master Set" would make my account that much stronger. But I was overlooking 1 key detail. Level 1 Unit cards are weak.

But here is the 'Carriage before the Horse' type situation. In order to use higher tier Unit cards you need higher tier Archon cards. But even a Level 2 Archon can use a few higher level Unit Cards.

And since Chaos Legion is in WILD and Chaos Legion was severely over printed... that means they are cheap cards. So I have about $35 worth of DEC to spend to bolster up my Unit Cards.

And with that another 'Whale For A Day' ensues!

Buying up Cards

This is going to be a weird post and that is because I went on a spending spree and now have to go back and document after the fact. If you want to know something behind the scenes.. Usually when I know I am going to do something stupid I start writing the article and take screenshots and post them into the article as I go. However, this time I didn't think I was going to buy THIS many cards but here we are.

So quick recap on what has already transpired.... This is what I bought 😀

And after a quick copy paste into Excel and then formula to count up all that $$ it comes to $60.758. And as you can tell that is more than the $35 I originally stated in this article. And Ladies and Gentlemen is because I was on a roll so I funded myself a little more than I originally expected, so sue me.

Why I Bought What I Bought

So my idea was this. Go to my inventory and sort for only Chaos Legion. Then also sort for only Common Cards. Then go Element by Element and if any card was not level 2 I would go over to MonsterMarket on my second screen and add those cards to the cart and check out after each Element. Then Upgrade the cards I can and move onto the next Element.

Well somewhere in there I realized just how cheap these cards were so I switched to Level 3 is what I was merging up to. And I also started to do Rare cards as well.

HOLY CRAP that took way to long to take all those screenshots and then paste them here. But it's over and I am sure not a single one of you looked at every screenshot and I don't blame you.

Here is the rough 'Back of the Napkin' Math for today's haul.

• 51 Card Purchase Transactions
• $60.76 spent
• 1,052 cards purchased
• 168 Cards Upgraded

The 168 cards upgraded is a little misleading because I did upgrade some to Level 2 then went and bought more and upgraded it to level 3. So the actual number is less than that but I am NOT going to spend the time to figure out the exact amount. I just counted up the 'combine cards' transactions I performed in the last 8 hours and that is how I got 168.

Was it worth it?

That is a good question and one I can't answer fully yet. But what I can tell you is this. Before I started to purchase these cards and upgrade them my WILD account was sitting at a Rating of 260. Yup Two Hundred and Sixty. That is the lowest it can go in the Bronze League. It literally means my account is THE worst account in the WILD format. And during the 7 hours or so that I was buying and upgrading...

My little guy went on a 6-0 winning spree! I am so proud of him!

I know it won't last but this is nice to see even for just today.

Chaos Legion Cards

Here are my Common and Rare Chaos Legion Cards and I think so far I did pretty good. Level 3 is a safe place to be at. I think next time I will work on maybe levelling up my Archons so that higher tier Unit cards can actually be used, or maybe work on filling in the holes I have in Epic and Legendary. That is To Be Determined..

Basically all the cards you see that are only Level 2 are because they were on the 'pricier' side and I wanted to level up as many as I could so I stuck to the cheapest ones first.
