Unfortunately, indeed, your vote was NOT registered. The networks are indeed misbehaving quite a lot lately. Maybe you could give it another try?
As for the thing you mentioned you didn't understand, it's a banner I created, you can add it in the footer of your posts (such as I do in all my posts, and a few other people started doing that as well), it spreads the awareness for my @botlord witness, and invites people to cast their votes as well.
