Day 2716 | Chilli Con Carne & Hot Yoga

I started a challenge of taking 100 days off to mainly focus on my health and overall personal development and used this account as a personal blog to keep track of all my activity. I enjoyed it and continued afterward trying to build better habits and find a good balance between health, fitness, work, entertainment, and my personal life...

Monday was another good day starting out with some productivity doing my bookkeeping followed by a short walk to the supermarket as I wanted to make some Chilli Con Carne as one of the things I will make as an appetizer on new year. It however takes quite some time on the stove to get to the consistancy I want so instead of eating that I made a smoothie. I followed that up with another hot yoga session where I learned that it's not a smart thing to cut Chilli peppers with your bare hands and fingers to afterward go sweat and the entire class my fingers were burning like crazy. I assume that the skin opening up to let the sweat out at the same time allowed the heat particles of the chili in.

I did end up overeating in the evening in front of the tv eating the entire batch but It was super tasty and I continue to avoid any processed foods now for quite some time.

Chili Con Carne is one of my comfort meals. I dunno, but every time I eat that food, it gives me a feeling of nostalgia and contentment. I guess it's a healthy dish when prepared with plenty of vegetables and controlled sodium levels.
Anyways, I'm happy for you as you are continuously achieving your target health and overall personal development goals.

I consider things healthy when all ingredients are natural but indeed the sodium levels are a factor. I kind of brush that off as I feel like I sweat it all out during my hot yoga sessions but that could be a rationalisation to allow mylelf probably a bit more salt that I should as I love it.

Cheers and happy holidays!
