My Hive Goals - 4/13/26
It's been ages since I've created one of these posts. It's not because it's not important. It mainly was tiring posting the same thing every week. Sure, things have changed and my account has grown, but does anyone care that X token I hold increased by 4? Probably not.

Instead of posting weekly, I'll be posting these updates when I feel like it. They'll be further apart, but in doing that I think they'll be more meaningful.
The last post like this that I did was back in August for reference. Instead of just writing about investment goals, I plan to use this as a reminder/diary of sorts for my goals here in general.
Hive Power
This is my biggest goal right now. It's hard to believe back in August I was at just 9,030 HP. Today, I'm at 17,256! Talk about huge progress!
My ultimate goal here is to hit 100K as soon as possible. I'd like to do that within the next 1-2 years. Why? That leads into my next goal.
Start A Community and Curate It
I want to start my own community. It'll be about something I'm passionate about, but also something many people in Web2 search all of the major search engines for on a regular basis. Why? Because if the posts in the community can get indexed and become popular, that's more eyes drawn to Hive and what we're doing here, which hopefully encourages some to join us.
A community on its own is great, but to truly have it grow and expand you need a catalyst. People tend to go where the votes are. At 100K HP I won't be a whale, but I'm hoping it'll be enough to encourage people to stick around and create within the community I look to build.
Bring Back "The Chopping Block" Series
The last post I did in this series was September. It was a lot of fun and now that the weather is getting better, I think it's a good time to bring it back.
So that's it. Who knows when my next post like this will be, but that just means I'll be having fun posting about other things. Until the next time I check in, keep working hard towards your goals and I'll keep working on mine!

i recognize that community issue , people think you need to post there were the votes are but , if all post with the same intrests are made in one place , it will atrack more people with the same intrest . At least that is what happend to my macro photography community and also my photo essay , and once curators find out that the community is maintained as it should the votes follow .
i had just to manny IRL issues the past years to keep the community at top level , it is time consuming.
Oh, that's interesting. So the community started around a common interest and then curators came to it? That's very cool! Maybe I'll have to reconsider and start a community anyway.

if the quality of the average post is good enough curators will find the community .

Best of luck with the community. I was hoping my grilling and smoking one would get bigger than it has, but so far no such luck. It's hard to find that niche and HIVE is just so small.
Thanks! Yeah, it's definitely a challenge. I'll have to think long and hard about what community I want to create.

Looking forward to the community idea.
So, what's your passion?
Sometimes when I read statements or listen to the use of the word but, I think of the Pareto Principle. For example, 80% of the time you can ignore most of what was said before the but. !LOLZ
In all seriousness. I am very interested on the community you plan on creating.
I created 3 communities to help me sort out ideas related to one purpose. If the organic subscribers count goes up I feel rewarded for doing something I needed to do for my own selfish need.
No expectation can lead to exponential returns.

Thanks! I have quite a few passions, such as gaming, stacking gold and silver, trading, etc., but those communities already exist, so I'll have to take my time thinking about it and planning. I want it to eventually be something that takes on a life of its own even in my absence.

I like your thinking. I plan for many generations after I am gone. I used to say that your not truly gone until the last person has thought of you. Today, with Hive, as long as the power is on, you can have all kinds of accounts leaving your bread crumbs all over the place.
The other day, I think I recognized 3 accounts with notable wallet holdings and they have passed. Dead accounts hoarding tokens doesn't seem healthy for a community. Made me think of different ways to address this for my own project commuity.
Wishing you the best with all you do.
