Monster Jam Is Back!

It's been a couple of years since we took my oldest son to see Monster Jam. He loved it, but our youngest son wasn't old enough to go at the time. Fast forward a couple of years and he's now old enough to go, so the whole family went along with my brother-in-law and nephew.

The line-up was a little different this time. The new trucks were saw this time around were Monster Mutt Dalmation, Earth Shaker, Jurassic Attack, and Velociraptor. They also had some of the trucks we saw last time: El Toro Loco, Grave Digger, Megalodon and ThunderROARus.

Naturally, you've got to have snacks while watching monster trucks race and do tricks, so we grabbed a corn dog, nachos, some popcorn and drinks.

Earth Shaker did a great job doing a front wheel stand.

Grave Digger did a great job as well.

Unfortunately, he got a little carried away and had to be flipped back over.

El Toro Loco did a front wheel stand as well. I had no clue the front end could actually shoot steam out of the nostrils! Very cool!

He got a good amount of air on one of his jumps.

He ended up crashing as well, and had to be flipped back over.

I was a little disappointed they didn't have Zombie there. The last time we saw it they played the Thriller music, and the driver got out and would always get the crowd going.

Monster Mutt Dalmation ended up winning the event. The driver did a great job not just in the timed race, but in the various trick events, too.

Monster Jam is a lot of fun for both kids and adults. Just make sure you bring good hearing protection, and don't be shocked at spending about $35-40 per kid if they convince you to buy them a toy. I highly recommend going at least once!
