Are We Ready for Short-form Content?
I've been seriously mulling over my idea to create a community and curate it. I have a rough plan in place. The question I keep thinking that leaves me wondering is if the type of shortform content I'm considering would be accepted.

The content itself isn't anything vile, illegal, immoral or shocking. I've heard some on Hive don't care for shortform content and are more likely to downvote it. The reality is that not only do most curators not want to read 1000+ words, your average person reading something on Hive doesn't want to stick around that long. I think that's where we lose a good number of people. Blame whoever you like, but most people these days have the attention span of a gerbil. I'm sure I already lost 60% of readers well before that sentence when they saw this massive block of text.
Shortform content doesn't need to be profound or enlightening. It simply needs to entertain the reader and keep them scrolling and coming back for more. When people realize they can post that same content on Hive and be rewarded, then you've caught their interest. Once they realize even they can do it, now they're dipping in their toe. Once you get them connected into a community, then they're hooked. It's what drew me in, why I'm still here and looking to take the next step.
So, what do you think? Is Hive ready for a new trend of shortform content other than Ecency Waves and Snapie? I think so, but are enough people willing to experiment and take a chance?

This sounds very interesting! Would the shortform be accomplished with a container post or more dbuzz like? Personally I think the container post is the better idea.

It's somewhat similar, although I would say Snapie is a lightyear or two ahead of me.
I have limited resources and some days limited time too, so it takes a while for me to "catch up".
Currently not available for the public, but I have hosted it on my local machine and have set up a tunnel so people can have a look and browse around.
Some of the more important features are still undergoing development (and a few not even started yet). Ironing out some bumps at the moment.

I don't downvote short form content. I think there is a place for it. I just don't find myself consuming it the way that the younger generation does.
Most don't, although I've heard some whales do. Whether that's true, I don't know for sure.
I completely understand. I just think we're mssing that content to attract younger generations.
