Another Scrap Sterling Haul with A Bonus!
More Sterling scrap came in and this haul is far more interesting than the last batch. This one is comprised of mainly bracelets and necklaces, with some other odds and ends thrown into the mix. Let's see what I got!
The necklaces all seem to be in relatively good shape, but there's nothing out of the ordinary here. These will go to the refiner.
Part of the lot was a random mix of pins, chains and earrings. Nothing special here either, but that's okay.
Somehow this lot ended up with a fork in it.
It also included a heavy belt buckle!
It's been engraved with someone's initials, so it'll go to the refiner.
This last piece is very unique! The chain is long and heavy!
I think this one I'll keep for my personal stash and save from the refiner. It's a unique design. I can't say I'd wear it, but I definitely think I can get more than melt for it.
All in total that's about 438 grams and I paid about 20% under melt for it, so not bad at all! I should get back about 10oz of silver from the refiner for this! Another good haul!

This really makes me want to dig into the stuff my wife has in the basement. I mean, I'd never get rid of it because it was her grandmas, but it would still be cool to see what is there.
Right? Some of the older vintage stuff has very cool designs.
