A Hunting They Will Go

We had the annual kids Easter egg hunt at my in-laws' house yesterday. The kids were super excited as usual, which is fun to see, but it's hard to get them to wait until it's time.

My youngest son wasted no time searching for eggs.

The irony here is how many eggs he just walked past, yet he had no issues finding one hidden underneath tje slide on the playset.

Some were a little more obvious to help the younger ones.

Then there were the more cleverly hidden eggs for the older kids.

I was surprised that none of the kids found these, and I had to point them out.

My older son found a nice stash on top of the playset.

I was proud he shared with his older cousin instead of hoarding them all for himself.

Everybody made out like a bandit. Naturally, the kids all proceeded to open their candy and start pigging out. 😆

Fortunately, it was still earlier in the day, so they ran it all off, playing soccer and jumping on the trampoline for a few hours. Then, it was time to open some final Easter gifts from the grandparents, load everyone up in the car, return home, and crash for the night.
