#MyHiveGoals week #5: Activating the haircut rule and its impact on rewards. My frenzy for second-layer tokens continues! [Eng/Esp]
Hello everyone! Welcome to my weekly #MyHiveGoals report where I share my weekly progress within this awesome Web 3 project. This weekend I wanted to pair the hot cocoa I make every weekend with a delicious treat. I usually make flan or quesillo to go with it, but this time I wanted to do something different and buy an almond and pineapple ring cake from a well-known bakery recommended by one of my graduate students. And what a wonderful place it is! I couldn't decide which one to get, so I'm writing these lines while enjoying a cup of hot cocoa and a slice of this delicious ring cake. Well, this past week has been somewhat of a nightmare, seeing the sharp drop in Bitcoin's price. In fact, I even thought it would reach $50,000, but fortunately, it has stabilized and is now gradually recovering, currently hovering around $69,000. Many were lamenting the decline, but I saw it as a buying opportunity, though unfortunately, I didn't have enough cash on hand.
Of course, this impacted the price of Hive, which fell significantly, but I don't know if it had already dropped to this level before. It's currently at $0.069. I never thought it would fall so much; my last purchase was at $0.109. The immediate consequence is that since last Monday, post rewards have been distributed in Hive and HP. I was surprised when I saw this because I religiously received HBD, which I'd been saving since late 2023. It was while reading in the community that I learned about the "haircut" rule, which is simply a security mechanism to prevent an excess of HBD being issued that can't be backed up. This prevents the HBD token's PEG as a stablecoin from being lost. However, this only applies to rewards; instead of receiving HBD, we get it in the form of liquid Hive.
Hive/HP
In this context of a temporary Hive rewards period, I've been using these earnings to do the daily power-ups I religiously continue to do, but I must warn you that we haven't received the December and January badges yet. In January, something very curious happened. They published a post with the winners of #HPUM, but they didn't give us any delegation on HP. So, in short, we received neither the badge nor the delegation, just a post acknowledging the achievement. I hope this will ultimately be corrected and that we at least receive the badge. For now, I will continue to increase my voting power by maintaining the daily power-ups.
Now, let's get back to how much our HP increased this week. We went from 8148 to 8259 HP, more than 100 HP generated in one week. Considering I haven't had enough time to create posts because of work, I think that's pretty good. I'll soon finish the most laborious part of my job and will be able to resume regularly posting about play-to-earn games and consoles.

HBD Savings
Okay, friends, now for the laborious part of this post. Without HBD rewards, the question arises: How do we continue increasing our savings? Here, we simply add up all our Hive Liquid rewards accumulated up to Sunday and transfer them to HBD. There are 2 ways to do it, one is directly from the PeakD platform and the second, which is my favorite, is through the Keychain exchange system.

So, adding up the earnings from posts and comments, we have a total of 88.79 Hives, which is equivalent to 6.87 HBD. I could simply take those liquid Hives and convert them to HP, but I'm unwavering in my #MyHiveGoals goals, and that means I have to keep accumulating HBD if I want to reach my goal of 2200 HBD, since my plan was based on a rewards split 50/50 between HP and HBD. Making this swap cost me a small fee, but as we continue to add HBD to our savings, the more HBD we'll earn from the 15% APR. Finally, let me clarify that the HBD from monthly interest is not affected by the temporary measure of rewards on Hive.

The long march with BBHO (part III)
Despite the drop in BTC and all altcoins, I haven't stopped buying BBHO on Hive's second layer. My plans remain the same as I outlined them at the beginning of the year: to accumulate up to 1,000 BBHO each week to reach my goal of 20,000 BBHO.
That week I didn't have to spend any of my Hive funds, as I was fortunate enough to sell several tokens from a play-to-earn Hive game, which helped me buy the BBHO needed to reach 4,000 in staking.
If we manage to get these next 1000 tokens, we will reach 5K or 25% of our final goal with BBHO, so now we have to stay strong, stoic and determined to achieve this important objective despite these bitter circumstances of an apparent crypto winter.

Que tal estimada comunidad! Bienvenido a mi reporte semanal de #MyHiveGoals donde les comparto mis avances semanales dentro de este genial proyecto web 3. Este fin de semana quería acompañar el cacao caliente que preparo todos los fines de semana con un delicioso dulce, por lo general hago un flan o un quesillo para acopañarlo, pero en esta ocasión quise hacer algo diferente y comprar una rosca de almendras y piña en una reconocida panadería que me recomendó uno de mis estudiantes de postgrado. Y vaya que es un lugar maravilloso! No podía decidir cual llevarme, así que estoy escribiéndoles estas líneas mientras disfruto de una taza de cacao caliente y un trozo de esta deliciosa rosca. Pues bien esta semana que pasó ha sido en cierta manera pesadillesca al ver la fuerte caída que tuvo Bitcoin, de hecho yo llegue a pensar que llegaría a los 50K $ pero afortunadamente ya se estabilizo y ahora tiende a recuperar gradualmente su precio ubicándose actualmente en 69K $. Muchos lo lamentaban pero yo lo vi como una oportunidad para comprar pero lamentablemente no tenía suficiente liquidez.
Por supuesto, esto impactó sobre el precio de hive, que cayo significativamente pero ignoro si ya había caído en tiempos anteriores a este nivel. Actualmente esta en 0,069$, nunca pensé que caería tanto, siendo mi mi última compra la hice a un valor de 0,109$. Lo cierto es que la consecuencia inmediata es que desde el lunes pasado las recompensas a las publicaciones se están dando en Hive y HP, me sorprendió cuando lo vi porque siempre recibía religiosamente HBD que enviaba a ahorros desde finales 2023. Fue cuando leyendo en la comunidad me entero de la regla del "corte de cabello" que no es más que un mecanismo de seguridad para evitar un exceso de HBD emitidos que no puedan ser respaldados, se evita de esta manera que se pierda el PEG del token HBD como stablecoin. Sin embargo esto solo se aplica a las recompensas, donde en lugar de recibir HBD, lo tenemos en forma de Hive líquidos.

En este contexto, de una etapa temporal de recompensas en hive, he aprovechado estos ingresos para hacer los power ups diarios que sigo haciendo religiosamente, pero debo advertirles que hasta ahora no nos han dado las insignias de diciembre y enero. En el caso de Enero paso algo muy curioso, publicaron un post con los ganadores del #HPUM pero no nos dieron delegación en HP, así que en resumen ni nos dieron la insignia, ni la delegación, solo un post reconociendo el logro. Espero que esto en última instancia sea corregido y al menos nos den la insignia, por lo pronto continuaré aumentando mi poder de voto manteniendo los power up diarios.
Ahora retomemos cuanto aumentó nuestro HP en esta semana, pasamos de 8148 a 8259 de HP más de 100 HP generados en 1 semana, considerando que no he tenido el tiempo suficiente para crear post por el trabajo creo que esta bastante bien. Pronto terminaré la parte más laboriosa en el trabajo y podré retomar con regularidad las publicaciones de videojuegos play2earn y de consolas.

Ahorros en HBD
Ok amigos, ahora vamos con la parte laboriosa de este post, sin recompensas en HBD surge la pregunta ¿Cómo seguir incrementando nuestros ahorros? Aquí simplemente sumamos todas nuestras recompensas en Hive liquido acumuladas hasta el domingo y los pasamos a HBD. Hay 2 formas de hacerlo, una es directamente desde la plataforma de PeakD y la segunda que es mi favorita, a través del sistema de intercambio en Keychain.

Entonces, sumando las ganancias de las publicaciones y comentarios, sumamos un total de 88.79 Hives que al cambio son 6,87 HBD. Podría simplemente agarrar esos Hives líquidos y pasarlos a HP pero soy irreductible en mis propósitos de #MyHiveGolas, y eso significa que tengo que continuar acumulando HBD si quiero lograr mi meta de 2200 HBD ya que mis planes estaban fijados en base a una recompensas divididas en 50% HP y 50% HBD. Hacer este swap me costo cierta comisión pero mientras continuemos sumando HBD a nuestros ahorros mayor será la cantidad de HBD que obtendremos por el 15% de APR. Finalmente dejar claro que el HBD de los intereses mensuales no se ven afectados por la medida temporánea de las recompensas en Hive.

La larga marcha con BBHO (parte III)
A pesar de la caída de BTC y todas las altcoins, no he dejado de comprar BBHO en la segunda capa de Hive. Los planes continúan tal cual como me los planteé a comienzos del año: reunir hasta 1000 BBHO cada semana para llegar a la meta de 20K de BBHO.
Esa semana no tuve que gastar de mis fondos de hive, ya que tuve la suerte de vender varios tokens de un juego play2earn de hive que me ayudó a comprar los BBHO necesario para alcanzar los 4K en staking.
Si logramos estos próximos 1000 tokens llegaremos a los 5K o el 25% de nuestra meta final con BBHO, así que ahora es que tenemos que mantenernos firmes, estoicos y determinados a lograr este importante objetivo a pesar de estas amargas circunstancias de aparente invierno cripto.

Very curious indeed what is happening to HIVE and HBD. Instead of powering up the HIVE I've received from writing and curating, I checked Hive-Engine and found some underpriced Splinterlands assets to purchase. It has been a few years since I took any HIVE assets to trade for Splinterlands stuff, but with the uncertainty surrounding the HIVE token price I figured it was time to swap some for an asset I can use.
