#MyHiveGoals week #25: #HPUD/#HPUM and My thoughts on the 10% APR on HBD [Eng/Esp]
Hello dear community, I hope you are all well. It's not even seven days into July yet, and I felt the need to make this post. I wanted to start it last night, but I was too tired and fell asleep. But first, I want to take this opportunity to let everyone know that I'm doing well, thanks to providence. We're still recovering from the catastrophe that was the double earthquake of June 24th. Yesterday, July 5th, we celebrated the signing of our declaration of independence, and it was just like any other day. We weren't in the mood to be celebrating. We have a lot of work ahead of us, since the recovery of bodies, the removal of rubble, and eventually the reconstruction will take us for the rest of this year and possibly all of 2027. Where I live, although the earthquake was felt strongly, there were hardly any reports of major structural collapses, except for a few buildings like this shopping center with a huge hole, but that's something that can't be fixed. The community has already been working to clear the rubble, and little by little, commercial life in downtown Caracas is returning. In other words, we haven't given up, and I'm not sure we'll overcome this difficult test that fate has placed in our path.

Fortunately, where I live the internet has remained stable. I've been offline a few days this past week, so Hive and maintaining the discipline of writing have been a momentary escape from the horrors that have occurred on the coast of La Guaira, which is ground zero. That's why I wanted to do #MyHiveGoals to clear my head a bit and also share some details I've noticed that I find somewhat worrying. But let's start with the value of Hive, which has maintained its value from exactly a week ago, with ups and downs like on July 1st. But at that time, my internet was very intermittent at home, so I didn't notice that drop. It was momentary because it subsequently recovered its price, reaching a peak of $0.053 on Saturday. People were anxious about what it could mean, but I was clear that it was something temporary. The crypto market continues to decline these past few weeks, and everything indicates that we will continue like this for a long time.
Hive/HP
Let's start with the event that affects us all on the blockchain: Hive Power Up Day (#HPUD). This is the day we lock up a portion of our Hives to increase our voting power and simultaneously reduce excess liquidity on the blockchain. I'm currently a bit tight on my liquid Hive holdings, and I'm not entirely sure I'll make it through the year with what I have. So, I might finally fund my Hive wallet this week. Last week, I bought the latest Splinterlands packs and had to deduct 160 liquid Hives, but I love these cards; they're part of the virtual lands and offer a significant advantage. For now, I think I can manage with this amount of liquid Hive for the next three months, but it's better to have some extra funds just in case.

We renewed our 2 main achievements: the #HPUD badge and the #HPUM achievement which is to power up all 30 days of the month and although they still don't give us the medal it has already become a habit for me and it is also an extra grain of sand in my annual goal of 12000 HP.

Thanks to these Power Ups, we're back on track with a steady growth rate. Among the things I want to get back to now that I have more time (which I'm forced to do) is microblogging, which I couldn't dedicate enough time to because I was busy with my teaching and lab classes. So, we'll see next week what impact this will have on our HP.
HBD Savings
Now let's move on to HBD savings. There's something I've been noticing throughout the year, and frankly, it's worrying me. But let's start with what we generated this past week: we generated 6,349 HBD, meaning we've maintained our weekly average.
This brings our total to 2068 HBD, a good amount to start the month of July. We would then have 4 full weeks left in this month, so I think we will easily reach 2100 HBD by the end of this month and we would only need 200 more HBD to reach 2300 HBD as our goal for 2026.
Okay, now I want to tell you what's causing me some concern regarding HBD savings. This year, I've seen three instances where the APR of locked HBD has been decreasing. We started the year with a 15% APR, the first reduction was in March to 14%, the next to 12% in April, and finally, in early July, we woke up to an APR of 10%. That's a 5% reduction in six months. My concern is that this compromises our long-term HBD savings strategy. There are several unknowns regarding this gradual reduction: one is whether it will continue to fall, and the second is whether, if the price of Hive recovers, the APR will return to its original percentage. I hope this isn't a sign of worse things to come.

Hola estimada comunidad, espero que se encuentren bien, aún no llevamos 7 días del mes de Julio, y sentía la necesidad de hacer esta publicación que quería comenzarlo ayer en la noche pero estaba demasiado cansado y el sueño me venció. Pero antes quiero aprovechar para dar señales de que estoy bien bien gracias a la providencia, aún estamos recuperándonos de la catástrofe que fue el doble sismo del 24 de Junio, ayer que fue 5 de Julio se celebró la firma de nuestra acta de independencia y fue simplemente como un día más, no estábamos con el ánimo para estar festejando, tenemos mucho trabajo por delante, ya que los trabajos de rescate de cuerpos, remoción de escombros y eventualmente la reconstrucción nos va a tomar lo que resta de año y posiblemente todo el 2027. Donde vivo si bien se sintió fuerte el sismo, casi no se reportaron colapsos de estructuras importantes a excepción de contados edificios como este centro comercial con un enorme boquete, pero es algo que no pueda solventarse. Ya la comunidad se ha estado avocando a recoger los escombros y poco a poco la vida comercial del centro de Caracas se esta reactivando, es decir no hemos bajado los brazos y no estoy seguro que superaremos esta difícil prueba que el destino nos ha puesto en el camino.

Afortunadamente donde vivo el internet se ha mantenido estable, salgo algunos días de la semana pasada, por lo que Hive y continuar con la disciplina de seguir escribiendo ha sido una vía de escape momentánea de los horrores ocurridos en las costas de La Guaira que es la zona cero. Por eso quise hacer #MyHiveGoals para despejarme un poco y también compartirles algunos detalles que he notado y me parecen un tanto preocupantes. Pero empecemos por el valor de Hive, que ha mantenido su valor de hace una semana exactamente, con altibajos como lo fue el 1ero de Julio pero en aquel momento mi internet estaba muy intermitente en casa así que no me entere de esa caída, fue momentánea porque posteriormente recuperó su precio alcanzando un pico de 0,053$ para el sábado, la gente estaba ansiosa por lo que podría significar, pero yo estaba claro que era algo momentáneo, el mercado cripto sigue de capa caía estas semanas y todo indica que seguiremos así por un largo tiempo.

Comencemos por el evento transversal para todos nosotros en la blockchain, el Hive Power Up Day (#HPUD) el día en que bloqueamos una cantidad de nuestros Hives para aumentar nuestro poder de voto y al mismo tiempo reducir el exceso de liquidez en la blockchain. Actualmente estoy un poco ajustado con la cantidad de Hive líquidos que tengo, no estoy completamente seguro de llegar a final de año con lo que tengo así que es posible que finalmente esta semana si fondee mi billetera de Hive. Y es que la semana pasada compre los más recientes packs del juego Splinterlands y tuve que descontar 160 Hives líquidos, pero me encantan estas cartas, forman parte de las tierras virtuales y ofrecen una gran ventaja. Por ahora creo que en los próximos 3 meses podría aguantar con esta cantidad de Hive líquidos, pero es mejor por si acaso tener algo de fondos extra.

La suma de estos Power Ups volvemos a retomar una tasa de crecimiento constante, entre las cosas que quiero retomar ahora que de manera forzada tengo más tiempo, es volver al microblogging al que no podía dedicarle tiempo suficiente porque estaba atendiendo mis clases docentes y de laboratorio. Así que ya veremos la semana de arriba el impacto que tendrá en nuestro HP.
Ahorros HBD
Pasemos ahora a los ahorros de HBD, aquí hay un detalle que he estado viendo a lo largo de lo que va de año y sinceramente me esta preocupando. Pero comencemos por lo generado esta semana que terminó, generamos 6.349 HBD, es decir que hemos mantenido la cantidad de HBD que generamos semanalmente.
Con esto sumamos 2068 HBD una buena cantidad para empezar el mes de Julio, nos quedarían entonces 4 semanas completas de este mes, así que creo que llegaremos fácilmente a los 2100 HBD al terminar este mes y solo nos faltarían 200 HBD para alcanzar los 2300 HBD como meta para este 2026.
Ok, ahora quiero comentarles que es lo que me esta causando cierto resquemor en cuanto a los ahorros en HBD y es que este año he registrado hasta tres momentos en los que el % APR de los HBD bloqueados ha estado reduciéndose. Comenzamos el año con 15% de APR, la primera reducción fue en marzo con 14%, la siguiente reducción fue en abril con 12% y finalmente los primeros días de Julio nos despertamos con un APR de 10%. Ha sido una reducción del 5% en 6 meses, mi preocupación es que esto compromete nuestra estrategia con el ahorro de HBD a largo plazo, son varias las incógnitas respecto a esta gradual reducción, una es si continuará bajando, y la segunda es si en caso de recuperarse el precio de Hive el APR volverá nuevamente a su % original. Espero que esto no sea un síntoma de peores cosas que estén por llegar.

Bien amigos, este fue mi reporte semanal. Por ahora estoy en una fase de invertir en activos de Splinterlands por lo que aún no sé en que momento retomaré mis metas con los tokens de segunda capa, pero lo bueno es que aún nos quedan 6 meses para retomar esos pendientes. Nos vemos la próxima semana!
