#MyHiveGoals week #24: Resilience and determination! My progress in HP and HBD [Eng/Esp]
Hello everyone! I hope you are all well. We here in Venezuela are living through some very dark times. Just when we were recovering from the wounds of witnessing the bombing of our country for the first time in over 200 years of republican existence, we now have to face the tragedy of two consecutive earthquakes in the coastal region. The victims already number in the thousands, and several of my students are missing. In the part of the city where I live, the damage wasn't as severe, but our parish church, which had become a site of historical importance, a symbol of our community, suffered significant damage—even the bell tower collapsed! Since then, given that we suffered less damage, our parish has become a collection center for supplies, clothing, medicine, and tools to help with the debris removal efforts. I've been spending this weekend taking inventory of the medicines and bandages needed to send to the collection center. It's been hard work, so I haven't been paying much attention to the price of our cryptocurrency, Hive.

The last time I checked the price was Wednesday morning, six hours before the earthquake, and it was a depressing $0.048. Five days later, we're barely reaching $0.0505. I'm not getting my hopes up about the trend anymore, and I don't say that pessimistically or as a way of telling you I'm giving up. No. This is more of an opportunity to take a position in Hive. As I've said in past reports, once I achieve #MyHiveGoals, I'll invest everything I earn in HP to increase my stake in the network.
Hive/HP
Okay, let's start with the Hive/HP pair. I still have a good amount of liquid Hive left, and I have plans for them. I'm going to invest them in Splinterlands cards. They recently announced an exclusive card set for the virtual lands, and I don't plan on missing that event, so I'll be spending about 150 Hives on it and will leave the rest for monthly and daily power-ups for the remainder of the year.
Now, getting back to HP, last week's rewards were quite substantial. Although I was overwhelmed with class preparation, I managed to maintain my routine of creating one post per day, and that discipline has generated 141,422 Hive this week for a total of 10,588 HP. This is a good sign; despite all these circumstances, we have managed to maintain the pace of production and activity on the blockchain.

In just over a day, we'll have our 6th #HPUD (Hive Power Up Day). We're keeping up the streak in that category, but also in the Hive Power Up Month #HPUM, which is the most challenging because it requires developing the discipline to block at least one hive every single day. By July, we'll have reached 181 days of daily power-ups, almost 50% of our goal to power up 365 days a year. If we achieve this, it will be our second consecutive year.
HBD Savings
Regarding HBD, we managed to generate more than last week with 6,419 HBD. As you probably know, for the past couple of months, rewards have been given in HP and liquid Hive. Therefore, it's time to convert those Hives to HBD. The best option for the exchange is hivedub.dev. The commission they charge is the most convenient I've seen so far.
We then reached 2061.97 HBD as projected in my previous post. If we maintain the pace of our weekly activity, we can close the month of July reaching 2100 HBD, and we will then have 5 months to reach 2300 HBD, which is our annual goal.
Of course, this isn't a goal I'm building solely on curation rewards, comments, and posts; it also includes the interest earned on the HBD we've already locked. We've snowballed enough to generate a little over 20 HBD monthly. But now, during this extended period of low Hive prices, I believe it's time to use that interest to boost my HP monthly and accelerate its growth. That's why I hope to reach my goal of 2300 HBD before the end of the year and start boosting my HP.
And this was my weekly progress, friends. I hope things improve next week. Academic activities have been suspended, so I'll be using this time to help with the collection of supplies, medicine, clothing, and tools to send to La Guaira State, which is essentially Ground Zero for this whole tragedy. Que tal comunidad! Espero que se encuentren bien, nosotros aquí en Venezuela estamos viviendo horas y días muy oscuras la verdad. Cuando ya nos estábamos recuperando de las heridas que fueron ser testigos del bombardeo de nuestro país por primera vez en más de 200 años de existencia republicana, ahora tenemos enfrentar la tragedia de 2 terremotos seguidos en la zona costera de nuestro país. Las victimas se cuentan ya en miles y varios de mis estudiantes se encuentran desaparecidos, en la parte de la ciudad donde vivo los daños no fueron tan severos, pero la iglesia de nuestra parroquia que se había convertido en un sitio de importancia histórica, un símbolo de nuestra comunidad presento daños importantes, hasta el campanario se cayo! Desde entonces, nuestra parroquia en vista que sufrimos daños menores nos hemos convertido en el centro de acopio para suministros, ropa, medicinas y herramientas para ayudar con los trabajos de remoción de escombros. He estado este fin de semana precisamente haciendo los inventarios de las medicinas y vendajes necesarios para enviar al centro de acopio, ha sido un trabajo arduo por lo que no he estado muy atento al precio de nuestra criptomoneda Hive.

La última vez que vi el precio fue el miércoles en la mañana, faltando 6 horas para el terremoto y era de unos deprimentes 0,048$ y 5 días después apenas rozamos los 0,0505$ ya no me hago ilusiones sobre la tendencia de todo esto y no lo digo de forma pesimista o como una manera de decirles que bajaré los brazos, no. Esta es más bien la oportunidad de tomar posición en Hive, ya lo dije en reportes pasados, una vez logre #MyHiveGoals volcaré todo lo que genere en la forma de HP para aumentar mi participación en la red.

Bien comencemos por el par Hive/HP, aún me me queda una buena cantidad de Hive líquidos, tengo planes para estos Hives, voy a invertirlos en cartas de Splinterlands, recientemente anunciaron un set de cartas exclusivo para las tierras virtuales y no pienso perderme ese evento, así que estaré gastándole unos 150 Hives y dejaré el resto para los power up mensuales y diarios en lo que resta de año.
Retomando ahora el HP, las recompensas de la semana pasada fueron bastante sustanciales. Aunque estaba abrumado con la preparación de las clases logre mantener mi rutina de crear 1 post diario y esa disciplina me ha generado esta semana 141,422 Hives para una suma total de 10588 HP. Esta es una buena señal, a pesar de todas estas circunstancias, hemos logrado mantener el ritmo de producción y actividad en la blockchain.

Toca por tanto pasar esos Hives a la forma de HBD, la mejor opción para hacer el exchange es hivedub.dev la comisión que cobra es la más conveniente que he visto hasta ahora.
Sumamos entonces de 2061.97 HBD como estaba proyectando en mi post anterior, si mantenemos el ritmo en nuestra actividad semanal podremos cerrar el mes de Julio alcanzando los 2100 HBD y tendremos entonces 5 meses para alcanzar los 2300 HBD que es nuestra meta anual.
Por supuesto, esta no es una meta que estoy construyendo únicamente con las recompensas de curación, comentarios y publicaciones, es también el aporte de los intereses de los HBD que ya tenemos bloqueados. Hemos hecho crecer la bola de nieve lo suficiente como para generar mensualmente poco más de 20 HBD. Pero ahora en esta larga etapa del bajo precio de Hive, creo que es hora de usar esos intereses para potenciar mensualmente mi HP y hacerlo crecer de forma más acelerada, es por eso que espero lograr mi meta de los 2300 HBD antes de terminar el año y comenzar a potenciar mi HP.
Y este fue mi progreso semanal amigos, espero que las cosas mejoren esta semana que viene, las actividades académicas fueron suspendidas por lo que usaré este tiempo para ayudar en las labores de recolección de insumos, medicinas, ropa y herramientas para enviar al Estado La Guaira que es en definitiva el Ground Zero de toda esta tragedia, así que no sé si pueda mantener el ritmo de interacción en la red, pero en cualquier caso les deseo lo mejor y que tengan una semana productiva.
