#MyHiveGoals week #26: Taking care of Pochoclo while I update my progress in HP and HBD [Eng/Esp]
Greetings, everyone! Summer has been making its presence felt these last few days in this part of the Global South, although to be fair, it's the dry season here, and one of the things that usually happens during these weeks is forest fires on Ávila Mountain, the green lung of Caracas. Fortunately, there haven't been any fires; we've already suffered enough after the double earthquake without having to deal with more misfortunes. Just this weekend, I was back to being a cat sitter. This little guy belongs to a biologist colleague who left him in my care while she sorted out her situation, as her home was badly damaged and she had to leave and stay in a shelter. So far, he's been very calm and affectionate, but there's something very sacred to him: his toys. In this photo on the right, he swiped at me for trying to grab his favorite stuffed animal.
While I'm taking care of this furry friend at home, I'm taking the opportunity to share my #MyHiveGoals report for this week. We woke up this Monday to low Hive prices, but at least I can say I was lucky enough to swap from Hive to HBD when it was at $0.0492. This renews the fears I shared in last week's post: ending the year with an HBD APR below 10% would ruin my plans for 2027. But I haven't lost faith that we can weather this storm.

Hostilities in the Middle East have reignited, and virulently so. Now, with Yemen entering the conflict after the Saudi attack, this conflict risks expanding beyond the Persian Gulf. The immediate consequence is that the price of oil is already skyrocketing. Gold seems to be artificially kept low, but panic could force many to make massive purchases and drive the price up. Amidst all this, the crypto market seems to be falling further into irrelevance; these are dark times, friends, so it's time to get well informed and prepare for unforeseen consequences.

Hive/HP
This past week, I was actively moving funds from Binance to Hive to buy Splinterlands assets to improve my deck and become more competitive. Most recently, I bought new workers for my virtual lands. It was something I'd put off for far too long, and now I'm regretting not making this investment sooner, but better late than never. We're holding 132 liquid Hives, enough for daily power-ups for the remainder of this third quarter.
Now, regarding HP, we managed to generate 135.9 HP just from posts and comments/curations. Now that we're forced into a vacation, I have more time to dedicate to content creation, like microblogging, so we'll see how that translates into HP next week.

In any case, thanks to the #HPUD from the beginning of July and the accumulated #HPUM, we are only 125 HP away from reaching 11K, which is our monthly goal in this parameter. We would then be only 1000 HP away from achieving our annual goal of 12000 HP. With luck and dedication, I could surpass this goal by the end of August.
HBD Savings
Now let's see how our progress is going in #HBD. As I mentioned at the beginning, I was lucky enough to swap my post reward Hives for HBD, but the price was noticeably lower than last week's ($0.052). So we ended up getting 5,903 HBD. Last week it was more than 6 HBD, but as you can see, those small drops in the Hive price have a significant impact on preserving the value of earnings in the form of HBD.
Adding these HBDs to our stash of savings, we now have 2074 HBD. In retrospect, two weeks ago we were at 2050 HBD, and at that time I projected that if I kept up the pace we could reach 2100 HBD by the end of this month, and everything indicates that we will be able to meet this monthly goal.
We can't ignore the impact of APR interest on our monthly goal. We still have eight days until we collect the monthly interest, but it will surely be an extra 20 HBD that we will add to our stash during the fourth week of July. In that timeframe, we must reach 2080 HBD and secure the 2100 HBD goal by the end of July. If we are successful and repeat this process in August, it's possible that before the start of the last quarter of this year, we will have already achieved our annual goal of 2300 HBD, which would be ideal for preparing for future goals in 2027 on Hive.
Alright folks, that's it for this week's report. Despite the current circumstances, with Hive's low price and HBD's reduced APR, we've been maintaining our growth rate on Hive. Saludos comunidad! El verano se esta haciendo sentir estos últimos días en esta parte del sur global, aunque siendo justos aquí es la temporada seca y una de las cosas que suele suceder estas semanas son los incendios forestales en el cerro Ávila, el pulmón vegetal de Caracas. Afortunadamente no se han presentado incendios, ya hemos recibido demasiado castigo después del doble sismo como para tener que lidiar con más desgracias. Justo este fin de semana he vuelto a ser de cuidador de gatos, este pequeño es de una colega bióloga que lo dejó a mi cargo mientras resolvía su situación pues su hogar quedó en muy mal estado y ha tenido que desalojarlo y mantenerse en un refugio. Por ahora ha sido muy tranquilo y cariñoso pero hay algo que es muy sagrado para él y son sus juguetes, en esta foto de la derecha me lanzó un zarpazo por intentar agarrar su peluche favorito.
Mientras cuido a este peludito en casa, estoy aprovechando para dejarles mi reporte de #MyHiveGoals de esta semana y bueno amanecimos este lunes con bajos precios del Hive, al menos puedo decir que tuve la suerte de hacer el swap de Hive a HBD cuando estaba en 0,0492$. Esto renueva los temores que les compartía en el post de la semana pasada, y era terminar el año con un APR de HBD por debajo del 10% eso arruinaría mis planes para el 2027 pero igual no pierdo la fe que podamos superar esta tormenta.

Nuevamente las hostilidades en el medio oriente se han reactivado y de forma virulenta, ahora con la entrada de Yemen en el conflicto después del ataque Saudí, este conflicto corre el riesgo de expandirse más allá del golfo pérsico. La consecuencia inmediata es que el precio del petróleo ya se esta disparando, el oro parece artificialmente mantenido bajo pero es posible que el pánico obligue a muchos a compras masivas y disparen el precio. En medio de todo esto, está el mercado cripto que parece caer cada vez más en la irrelevancia, son tiempos oscuros amigos, así que toca informarse bien y prepararse para consecuencias imprevistas.

Hive/HP
Esta semana que terminó, estuve activamente moviendo fondos de Binance a Hive para comprar activos de Splinterlands para mejorar mi mazo y ser más competitivo, lo más reciente fue comprar trabajadores nuevos para mis tierras virtuales, era un pendiente que había dejado en el tintero por demasiado tiempo y ahora me estoy arrepintiendo de no haber hecho esta inversión antes, pero mejor tarde que nunca. Nos mantenemos en 132 de Hives líquidos, suficientes para hacer los power ups diarios en lo que resta de este tercer trimestre.
Ahora en cuanto al HP, logramos generar 135, 9 HP solamente con las publicaciones y los comentarios/curaciones, ahora que de manera forzada hemos entrado en vacaciones, tengo más tiempo para dedicarle a la creación de contenido como microblogging, así que veremos la semana de arriba como se verán reflejados en los HPs que generemos.

Veamos ahora como va nuestro progreso en #HBD, como les dije al comienzo, tuve la suerte de hacer el Swap de los Hives de recompensas por las publicaciones a HBD, pero igual el precio era notablemente más bajo que el de la semana pasada (0,052$). Así que terminamos obteniendo 5.903 HBD, la semana pasada fue de más de 6 HBD pero como pueden ver esas pequeñas caídas de Hive tienen un impacto importante al momento de preservar el valor de las ganancias en forma de HBD.
Sumando estos HBD a nuestro alijo de ahorros, ya tenemos 2074 HBD, en retrospectiva, hace 2 semanas estábamos en 2050 HBD y en aquel momento proyectaba que si mantenía el ritmo podríamos llegar a los 2100 HBD terminando este mes y todo indica que podremos cumplir esta meta mensual.
No podemos ignorar el peso de los intereses del APR en nuestra meta mensual, aún nos faltan 8 días para cobrar los intereses mensuales pero seguramente serán 20 HBD extra que añadiremos a nuestro alijo la 4ta semana de Julio. En ese espacio de tiempo debemos llegar a los 2080 HBD y asegurar la meta de los 2100 HBDs para finales de Julio, si tenemos éxito y repetimos este proceso en agosto, es posible que antes de comenzar el último trimestre de este año ya habremos logrado concretar nuestra meta anual de 2300 HBD, lo que sería ideal para prepararnos para las futuras metas del 2027 en Hive.
Bien amigos, con esto cierro este reporte semanal a pesar de las circunstancias actuales con el bajo precio de Hive y la reducción de APR de HBD hemos estado manteniendo el ritmo de nuestro crecimiento en Hive, ahora que estamos de vacaciones, podré dedicarme con más calma y dedicación a las comunidades con las que me gusta compartir mi contenido.
