My participation in the Reflection Hunters Contest - #SMARP round #266: Capturing everyday scenes on my way to work [Eng/Esp]

Hello friends of Shadow Hunters! Wishing you a happy start to the week, it is a real pleasure for me to resume my participation in the SMARP contests, this time in its round #266. Now that Holy Week is over and we're back to work, I headed to the bank to withdraw some cash before going to the university to work on the course schedule for the next semester. It was already 11 pm and the heat was starting to build in downtown Caracas, where most of the national banks are located, so I usually come every morning to withdraw some cash. As I walked down Urdaneta Avenue, I came across a shop selling airline tickets, but the glass in its entrance reflected part of the avenue. So, I ended up choosing this spot to capture my reflection for the week.

I calmly observed the beauty of this reflection, not only in the image of the avenue and the sidewalk, but also in the people and vehicles passing by, momentarily caught in the reflection. Each person, each mother with her child on their way to school, each delivery driver on their motorcycle rushing to their destination on time—each one of them has a micro-story. They are the protagonists of their own story, creating it as they move.

I took three photos that reflect the start of the week in my chaotic city. Unfortunately, there wasn't much traffic in downtown Caracas, so I couldn't capture the full extent of the chaos in my beloved city. But I suppose a large part of the population is still returning from their vacations and many are still on their way back, which is why there's still a certain peace in the streets. So I'll take advantage of these peaceful days before the routine chaos of my city begins again.

Well, friends, this was my contribution to this week's SMARP. I hope you liked it. Now that I'm freer from responsibilities, I can dedicate more time to walking around the city and getting more and better reflections, so expect new reflections in the coming weeks. Hola amigos de Shadow Hunters! Deseándoles un feliz inicio de semana, es para mi un verdadero gusto volver a retomar mi participación en los concursos SMARP, esta vez en su round #266. Y en esta ocasión, terminada la semana santa y volviendo nuevamente a nuestras labores, hoy fui camino primeramente al banco a sacar un poco de efectivo antes de ir camino a la Universidad para trabajar en la programación docente del próximo semestre. Ya eran las 11 pm y el calor ya se hacía sentir en el centro de Caracas, aqui se encuentran la mayoría de los bancos nacionales, así que suelo venir todas las mañanas para sacar algo de efectivo. Mientras bajaba por la avenida Urdaneta me conseguí con un local que vende pasajes de aviones pero los vidrios de su entrada reflejaban parte de de la avenida, por lo que terminé escogiendo este lugar para capturar mi reflejo de esta semana.

Veía calmadamente la belleza de este reflejo, no solo por la imagen de la avenida y la acera, se trataba de las personas y vehículos que pasaban y quedaban atrapados por un momento en el reflejo. Cada persona, cada madre con su hijo de camino a la escuela, cada repartidor en su motocicleta con la prisa de llegar a su destino a tiempo, cada uno de ellos tiene una micro historia, son los protagonistas de su historia y la crean cuando se ponen en movimiento.

Tomé 3 fotografías que reflejan el comienzo de semana en mi desordenada ciudad, lamentablemente no había tanto trafico en el centro de Caracas por lo que no pude capturar como es la manifestación de la entropía en mi querida ciudad, pero supongo que mucha parte de la población todavía esta regresando de las vacaciones que se tomaron estos días y aún están en camino de llegar, por eso todavía se respira cierta paz de las calles, así que aprovecharé estos días de paz antes de que comience nuevamente el caos rutinario de mi ciudad.

Bien amigos, este fue mi aporte al SMARP de esta semana, espero que les haya gustado. Como ahora estoy más liberado de responsabilidades puedo dedicar más tiempo a caminar la ciudad y conseguir más y mejores reflejos, así que esperen nuevos reflejos las próximas semanas.
