My participation in the Reflection Hunters Contest - Round #230: Reflections of Daily Life [Eng/Esp]

How are you, our valued Shadow Hunters community! Wishing you a happy start to the week, I wanted to start the day by sharing my participation in the contest Reflection Hunters round #230 and for this occasion, I wanted to share with you the reflection generated by the large barrel that is in our house.

Although it might go unnoticed, the story of this reflection began on Friday night. Our water was cut off that day, and we were without water all Saturday and part of Sunday in our apartment. You have no idea how unpleasant it is when these things happen. The good thing is that only my mother and I were at home, so we were able to ration the water we had. Finally, the water supply was restored starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday! So we had to quickly run and fill this large drum with water. It doesn't look like it from the photo, but it holds 120 liters. After filling it with water, I waited for it to calm down. The wave-like motion subsided, eventually creating this wonderful reflection.

The reflection shown is that of my kitchen window. There are some shirts and tablecloths left to dry, and if you look closely, you can see that even the pot of my beloved ferns is reflected. I found it interesting how an everyday task generated this reflection. Honestly, I hadn't planned it until I saw how the rippling water gradually created the image.

Que tal apreciada comunidad de Shadow Hunters! Deseándoles un feliz inicio de semana quise empezar el día compartiéndoles mi participación en el concurso Reflection Hunters round #230 y para esta ocasión, he querido compartirles el reflejo que generó el gran pipote que se encuentra en nuestra casa.

Aunque pudiera pasar desapercibida, la historia de este reflejo se cuenta desde el viernes en la noche, pues nos quitaron el agua ese día y estuvimos todo el sábado y también parte del domingo sin el servicio de agua en el apartamento, no tienen idea de lo desagradable que es cuando pasan estas cosas lo bueno es que en casa solo estábamos mi madre y yo así que pudimos racionar con mesura el agua del que disponíamos. Finalmente el suministro de agua fue repuesto a partir de las 2 de la tarde del domingo! Por lo que tuvimos que tuve que correr rápidamente a llenar este gran pipote con agua, desde la fotografía no lo parece pero su capacidad es de 120 litros. Después de haberlo llenado con agua esperé a que se calmara, el movimiento ondulatorio fue cediendo hasta finalmente generar este maravilloso reflejo.

El reflejo que se muestra es el de la ventana de mi cocina, hay algunas camisas y manteles puestos a secar y si te fijas bien puedes darte cuenta de que hasta la maceta de mis amados helechos están reflejados. Me pareció interesante como un oficio cotidiano generó este reflejo, la verdad es que no lo había planeado hasta que vi como el agua ondulante poco a poco fue generando la imagen.

Bien amigos esta fue mi participación en el concurso de esta semana, espero que les haya gustado la vista de mi ventana! Creo que los reflejos que te consigues haciendo oficios de la vida diaria son especiales y tienen un encanto particular. Nos vemos la próxima semana con más y mejores reflejos. Saludos.
