My first impressions of the new exclusive Lands set: Visions of Verico and Gladius Cases Opening! [Eng/Esp]
Hello again, Splinterlands fans! I was planning to share my impressions of the new cards available with Vouchers, but the recent news about the new exclusive Lands card set Visions of Verico is something I simply can't ignore! We had a sneak peek of this exclusive set 19 days ago, but without any images of the card designs. Now, we have all the information available about this new set, so let's take a first look at it and its significance within Splinterlands. Let's begin!
Hola de nuevo amigos de Splinterlands, tenía pensado compartirles mis impresiones de las nuevas cartas comprables con Vouchers, pero la reciente noticia del nuevo set de cartas exclusivas para Lands Visions of Verico es algo que simplemente no puedo dejar pasar! Ya habíamos tenido un adelanto de este set exclusivo hace 19 días pero sin imágenes de los diseños de las cartas. En esta ocasión, ya tenemos toda la información disponible sobre este nuevo set, así que haremos un primer vistazo de este nuevo set y cual es su importancia dentro de Splinterlands. Comencemos!
Let's start with the official information: this new set will be released on June 30th, that is, this coming Tuesday! Although this event was announced 19 days ago, many other events are running simultaneously, such as the Volt Event, the Summer event with the fabulous Beach Boom cards and the reward chests that contain them, and we also have new cards with vouchers coming out in the next few days! I think it would be more prudent to create a timeline of the upcoming events so you can better understand which ones to invest your time and money in. The second thing to keep in mind about this set is that it will cost $2, payable in credits or Decs (which adds a 5% discount), and each pack will contain a total of 20 cards—amazing!

I currently have 5 plots producing resources, and some of them only have 2 active workers. Therefore, these cards are an interesting addition to our plots, providing workers with unique abilities that boost our production. The first major advantage is that several of them are dual-elemental, making them very versatile. The second is that they have a range of abilities, which we will list below:
Toil and Kin: Increase Production when working alongside the same Bloodline.
Light Rationing: Reduce grain consumption while harvesting.
Alteration: Earn monthly Skin Airdrops.
Glint Recovery: Become eligible for daily Glint rewards.
Dark Discount: Reduce Dark Energy costs on your plot.
Fortune Seeker: Earn weekly chances at Premium Foil Workers.
Actualmente tengo 5 parcelas produciendo recursos, en algunas de ellas tengo apenas 2 trabajadores activos, por lo que estas cartas son una incorporación interesante para incluir en nuestras parcelas trabajadores con habilidades únicas que favorecen nuestra producción. La primera gran ventaja es que varias de ellas son bi elementales por lo que son muy versátiles. Lo segundo es que tienen una batería de habilidades que citaremos a continuación:
Trabajo y Familia: Aumenta la producción al trabajar junto a miembros del mismo linaje.
Racionamiento de Luz: Reduce el consumo de grano durante la cosecha.
Alteración: Gana Airdrops de Piel mensuales.
Recuperación de Glint: Accede a recompensas diarias de Glint.
Descuento Oscuro: Reduce los costes de Energía Oscura en tu parcela.
Buscador de Fortuna: Gana oportunidades semanales para conseguir Trabajadores de Lámina Premium.
These are very interesting abilities, such as boosting production if there is lineage affinity, saving on grain consumption, and the most interesting of all is the possibility of winning a Premium foil each week. I'm not sure if this refers to the Black Foil/Black Foil Arcana foils, but if it's a new type of foil, it would be an interesting addition to the exclusive assets of Lands.
Son habilidades muy interesantes, como potenciar la producción si hay afinidad de linaje, ahorro en el consumo de grano y la más interesante de todas es la posibilidad de cada semana ganar una lámina Premium que la verdad ignoro si se esta refiriendo a las lámina black foil/black foil arcana, si estamos hablando de un nuevo tipo de foil sería un interesante añadido en lo que representa a activos exclusivos de Lands.
Other abilities will offer us basic and premium skins, but another noteworthy element of these packs is that they will include 6 special cards, similar to the extra cards in the Conclave Arcana set, but in Lands they will have a function beyond simply expanding card variety! Those who possess these special cards will participate in a raffle, and winning will give us the opportunity to participate in the design process of these cards, which have the added benefit of being bi-elemental, meaning greater possibilities for combinations and uses in Lands considering the synergies of the lineages these cards will have.
Otras habilidades nos ofrecerán skins básicos y premium, pero otro elemento destacable de estos packs, es que incluirán 6 cartas especiales, algo sí como las cartas éxtra del set Conclave Arcana, pero que en Lands tendrán una función más allá de expandir la variedad de cartas! Quienes posean estas cartas especiales, participarán en un sorteo que al ganar nos dará la oportunidad de participar en el proceso de diseño de estas cartas que tienen el añadido de ser todas ellas cartas bi elementales, es decir mayor posibilidad de combinaciones y usos en Lands considerando las sinergias de los linajes que estas cartas tendrán.
I'm really looking forward to this new set of cards. I'll have to use the decs I had planned to buy vouchers on these interesting packs. One thing to keep in mind is that all these cards will be common, so it's important to consider what you're really interested in: farming skins, black foil/premium cards, a synergy that allows you to save resources, or if you're looking to directly increase your PP. In the first case, these Lands exclusive cards are for you, but if you're looking to increase your raw PP, then you might be more interested in buying cards from older sets like Untamed or Chaos Legion. In my case, I'm interested in participating in the weekly/monthly raffles and reducing harvest costs, so I'm very keen to buy several packs, and even better if they contain one of these unidentified cards!
En definitiva estoy a la expectativa con este nuevo set de cartas, voy a tener que invertir los decs que tenía pensado para comprar vouchers, en estos interesantes packs. Uno de los elementos a tener en cuenta es que todas estas cartas serán comunes así que es importante que consideres que es lo que realmente te interesa, si farmear skins, laminas black foil/premium, una sinergia que te permita ahorrar recursos o si lo que estas buscando es incrementar tus PP directamente. En el primer caso, estas cartas exclusivas de Lands son para ti, pero si estás buscando aumentar tus PPs brutos entonces quizás te interese más comprar las cartas de sets antiguos como las Untamed o Chaos Legion. En mi caso me interesa participar en los sorteos semanales/mensuales y reducir los costos de las cosechas, por lo que estoy muy interesado en comprar varios packs y si contienen una de estas cartas sin identificar mejor!
Opening Gladius Cases!/Abriendo Gladius Ceses
With these being the last days of June, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to open my usual Gladius cases. In the last brawl we had, we came in first place and were rewarded with over 13,000 Merits! So this time I'll do something different. I'll buy my usual four Gladius cases, but with the added bonus of 20 Blood Stones and Power Stones. In total, we didn't even spend 11,000 Merits. I just want to test the waters for when I do a massive opening of these packs and see if it's worth investing in these stones.
Siendo estos los últimos días de Junio no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de abrir mis acostumbrados Gladius cases, en la última brawl que tuvimos quedamos de primeros y fuimos recompensados con más de 13K en Méritos! Por lo que esta vez haré algo diferente, compraré mis acostumbrado 4 Gladius cases pero con el extra de 20 piedras de sangre y de poder, en total no gastamos ni 11K en méritos. Con esto solo quiero poner a prueba las posibilidades para cuando haga una apertura masiva de estos packs y ver entonces si vale o no la pena invertir en estas piedras.

Alright folks, based on the results, it seems that for every four packs opened, there's a strong chance of getting a golden gladiator card. It might take more to get a legendary one. But I'm happy with the outcome because, after more than a year of opening packs, I'm close to getting many of the common and rare cards to the top of the gold league. And the golden card I got is a valuable addition for when I have to face a battle using only golden cards.
Bien amigos, por los resultados obtenidos, al parecer por cada 4 packs abiertos existe una fuerte posibilidad de conseguir una carta gladiadora dorada, es posible que hagan falta más para conseguir una legendaria. Pero estoy satisfecho con el resultado porque son las cartas comunes y raras las que después de más de 1 año abriendo packs, ya estoy cerca de llevar a muchas de ellas al tope de la liga de oro. Mientras que la carta dorada que conseguí es una importante incorporación en el eventual momento que tenga que enfrentar la refriega solo con cartas doradas.

I had a good feeling about these packs, and I wasn't wrong! We managed to get the following gladiator cards to level 8: Alva the Crusher (Water class) and Helmet Kharafax (Life class). It took months of effort to get them this far, but it's the Life card that I use most in battles, especially if it's a low-mana card.
Tenia un buen presentimiento con estos packs y no me equivocaba! Logramos llevar a nivel 8 las siguientes cartas gladiadoras: Alva the Crusher de la clase agua & Helmet Kharafax de la clase vida, fue un esfuerzo de meses poder llevarlas hasta aquí, pero es la carta de vida la que más utilizo en batallas, sobre todo si es de bajo mana.
These two gladiator cards join Whistling Damon and Bertrol Gobson, who were the first gladiators to reach level 8 in May. As you can see, many of these common cards are only a few copies away from reaching level 8, such as Katrelba Gobson from the Earth class and Krash Wanderford from the Fire class, which are the gladiators I usually use in guild tournaments.
Estas 2 cartas gladiadoras se suman a Whistling Damon y Bertrol Gobson que fueron las primeras Gladiadoras en llevarlas a nivel 8 en el mes de Mayo y como pueden ver ya muchas de estas cartas comunes están solo a pocas copias para alcanzar el nivel 8 como Katrelba Gobson de la clase tierra y Krash Wanderford de la clase fuego, que son las gladiadoras que más suelo usar en los torneos de gremios.
