Happy Sunday, Splinterlands community! This past week has been packed with news for everyone, from those just starting out to veterans with years of experience. Let's start with the most recent announcement: Splinterlands' 8th anniversary! I had this date marked on my calendar because I wanted to be one of the first to get these two promotional cards, but I soon realized that the legendary archons I recently bought require certain units that I had to invest in. The good news is that we have 29 days to acquire these exceptional cards.

Esta semana que terminó hemos tenido una avalancha de novedades para todos, desde los que están comenzando en el juego, hasta los veteranos con años de experiencia en el juego. Comencemos precisamente por el más reciente anuncio, el 8vo aniversario de Splinterlands! La verdad es que tenía esta fecha marcada en el calendario, porque quería ser de los primeros en adquirir estas 2 cartas promocionales pero pronto me di cuenta que los arcontes legendarios que compré recientemente requiere de ciertas unidades en los que tuve necesariamente que invertir. La buena noticia es que tenemos 29 días para adquirir estas excepcionales cartas.

For now, I've continued progressing in the Frontiers format, partly by increasing my Foundations card collection to use in Survival and also to try my luck with the jackpot by claiming rewards and getting one of the bonus cards that were recently announced. Unfortunately, I haven't had any luck with these cards, but at least I can say that I did win a prize in the weekly Foundation special foil card giveaway: a black foil Hungry Ulund!

Por lo pronto, he seguido avanzando en el formato Frontiers en parte aumentando el acervo de cartas Foundations para usarlas en Survival y también para probar suerte con el jackpot al reclamar las recompensas y así conseguir una de las cartas extra que recientemente han sido anunciadas. Lamentablemente no he tenido suerte con estas cartas pero al menos puedo decir que si conseguí premios en el sorteo semanal de cartas Foundation de lámina especial: una Hungry Ulund de lámina negra!

I honestly wasn't expecting it, because I had recently won a gold foil arcane card and thought it unlikely I'd win again this week. But with this card, I now have four black foil cards, two commons and two rares. Ideally, I'd like to get a black foil Archon because I use them very frequently in the Modern format.

La verdad que no lo esperaba, porque recientemente había conseguido una carta de lamina dorada arcana y veía poco probable repetir premio esta semana. Pero con esta carta, ya sumamos 4 cartas de lámina negra, 2 de ellas comunes y otras 2 raras. Lo ideal sería conseguir un arconte de lámina negra porque los utilizo con mucha frecuencia en el formato moderno.

The other way to get the new bonus Foundation cards is through the daily prize wheel offered by Lux's Favor. We've been very determined to maintain our streak; we're already on 82 consecutive spins, and unfortunately, we haven't won any cards there either. But we'll always have another day to keep trying; I just hope that day comes soon.

La otra opción o vía para conseguir las nuevas cartas extra Foundation esta en la rueda de premios que todos los días nos ofrece el Favor de Lux. Hemos sido muy determinados a mantener nuestra racha, ya vamos por 82 giros consecutivos, y lamentablemente aquí tampoco hemos conseguido opción de cartas. Pero siempre tendremos un día más para seguir intentando, solo espero que llegue pronto ese día.

Now, an alternative way to get this card is through the sparks we can get on the prize wheel, and here I was lucky, because I had 2 consecutive days in which I got 1000 sparks + the bonus, and the rest of the days, although it was a modest amount, thankfully it wasn't energy.

Ahora bien, una forma alternativa para conseguir esta carta es por medio de los sparks que podemos conseguir en la rueda de premios y aquí si que tuve suerte, porque tuve 2 días seguidos en los que obtuve 1000 sparks + la bonificación y el resto de los días aunque fue una cantidad modesta, feliz mente no fue energía.

With those two spins of 1,000 Sparks each, we reached 30,000 Sparks, so if we go to the Circa Royale shop, we can buy one of these extra cards. There are six cards we could acquire, and the truth is, I'm still undecided—not about which card to buy, but about spending my Sparks on just one copy of these cards, knowing it's only one copy! There are still more than 200 copies available for each of these cards, so I still have time to make a decision.

Con esos 2 giros de 1000 Sparks cada uno, logramos llegar a los 30000 Spaks por lo que si vamos a la tienda Circa Royale podremos comprar una de estas cartas extra. Son 6 las cartas que podríamos adquirir y la verdad es que aún estoy indeciso no por cual carta comprar sino de gastar mis sparks en solo una copia de estas cartas sabiendo que es apenas 1 copia! Aún quedan más de 200 copias disponibles para cada una de estas cartas, así que tengo todavía tiempo para tomar una decisión.

Throughout the week we opened the Foundations Packs from the reward. Although we didn't get as many Archons as we would have liked, we did get the Legendary card we were missing and some Epic cards that will also be useful for the Survival format we'll be starting soon.

A lo largo de la semana abrimos los packs foundations de la recompensa, aunque no conseguimos tantos arcontes como hubiera querido, si conseguimos la carta legendaria que nos faltaba y épicas que también nos será de utilidad para el formato de survival que próximamente estaremos comenzando.

These are two of the cards that were hardest for me to max out in Frontier. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait long to get a second maxed-out copy of Mystic Scaleweaver, and now we only need to get six copies of Saltwater Mage, although it's already quite effective at level 2. For now, this was the best we got from our Foundations Packs. We'll see if we can get more Archons next week to have another set at level 4 that we can use in Survival.

Estas son 2 de las cartas que más me costó maxear en Frontier, afortunadamente no tuvimos que pasar por mucho tiempo para tener una segunda copia al máximo de Mystic Scaleweaver y ya solo tendríamos que conseguir 6 copias de Saltwater Mage aunque ya en nivel 2 es bastante efectiva. Por lo pronto esto fue lo mejor que conseguimos de nuestros packs Foundations. Ya veremos si la semana que viene podremos sumar más arcontes para tener otro conjunto aparte en nivel 4 que podamos usar en survival.

Finally, I wanted to mention the last way to participate and win the new Foundations cards: through contests held by several Splinterlands streamers on Twitch or YouTube. In this case, I won one of these cards thanks to a challenge from iblast: win three battles with the extra fire card, Jolius Blast, in positions 2 through 6. It was certainly a challenge because I did them playing in Modern Diamond League and only had it at level 1, so I had to make several attempts. But it wasn't impossible now that I have some Legendary Archons. I ended up sharing my three battles almost at the last minute, but they counted, and now I can say I have my first Extra card from this great initiative. Por último, no quería dejar de comentar la última forma de participar y ganar las nuevas cartas Foundations y es através de los concursos llevados acabo por varios de los streamers que crean contenido de Splinterlands via twich o Youtube. Pero en este caso gané una de estas cartas gracias a un desafío que nos propuso iblast de ganar 3 batallas con la carta extra de fuego: Jolius Blast en entre las posiciones del 2 al 6. Fue ciertamente un desafío porque las hice jugando en moderno liga diamante y solo la tenía lvl 1 por lo que tuve que hacer varios intentos. Pero no fue imposible ahora que cuento con algunos arcontes legendarios, al final compartí mis 3 batallas casi que en el último momento pero me lo valieron y ahora puedo decir que tengo mi primera carta Extra de esta genial iniciativa.
