April 2nd Harvest: Balance, Land Market Review, and Forging My First Craftable Cards! [Eng/Esp]
Greetings again to the Splinterlands and Hive community! Welcome to my second report for April in Lands. Two weeks ago, we had another opportunity to craft new cards for everyone with plots in Praetoria, and it's clearly one of the best things you've done! The more features and craftable items we have to trade, the closer we'll get to merging Lands with the main game. The biggest impact of these events is seen in resource prices; for example, stone and iron have seen a significant increase in value. Let's hope these aren't the only craftable cards this year, so we can give our resources even more value and utility.

Hace 2 semanas atrás tuvimos una nueva oportunidad para creaftear nuevas cartas a todos aquellos que tienen parcelas en Praetoria, y es a todas luces uno de los mayores acierto que han tenido! Mientras más funciones y objetos crafteables que se pueden tradear, estaremos más cerca de fusionar Lands con el juego principal, el mayor impacto de estos eventos lo podemos ver en el precio de los recursos, por ejemplo la piedra y el hierro han tenido un incremento notable en su valor. Esperemos que estas no sean las únicas cartas creafteables de este año, para que así podamos darle mayor valor y utilidad a nuestros recursos.
Resource Harvest/Cosecha de Recursos
We'll start by harvesting our grain plot. You have no idea how much I regret buying at least a couple of extra grain plots last year when they were $14 each. Currently, the plots that produce this valuable resource in the Great Lowlands have appreciated considerably. No matter which region of the Great Lowlands you're in, they're all starting at $30! But we'll explore plot prices later. For now, the important thing is to know that this common plot generates enough grain for my two stone quarries.
Comenzamos por cosechar nuestra parcela de granos, no saben como me arrepiento de haber comprado al menos un par de parcelas extra de grano el año pasado cuando estaban en 14$. Actualmente las parcelas que producen este valioso recurso en Great Lowlands se han apreciado considerablemente, no importa en cual región de Great Lowlands se encuentre, todas ya están a partir de los 30$! Pero más adelante exploraremos los precios de las parcelas, por ahora lo importante es saber que esta parcela común me genera el grano suficiente para mis 2 canteras de piedra.
Once the harvest is complete, we have enough grain to collect all the production from my two quarries: Bredaine, which is a rare plot, and Oxborough, which is my most productive plot because it's epic and has golden cards with totems and epic titles locked in it. I bought the first one at the end of last year and the second one in 2024, when the prices of these assets were really low. Currently, their price has doubled, however, good deals can still be found, and that's why I'm so focused on the stone resource.
Una vez realizada la cosecha, tenemos el grano suficiente para recoger toda la producción de mis 2 canteras: Bredaine que es una parcela rara y Oxborough que es mi parcela más productiva por ser épica y tener bloqueadas cartas doradas con totem y título épico. La primera la compre a finales del año pasado y la segunda en 2024, cuando los precios de estos activos estaban realmente bajos. Actualmente han duplicado su precio, sin embargo aún pueden conseguirse buenas ofertas y es la razón por la que estoy tan enfocado en el recurso de piedra.
In short, this is what I have locked in Decs and the amount of stone I've accumulated. There's also some grain, but not much, because ultimately I use almost everything produced to gather stone from the quarries. We have 428,000 stone so far, and I'd really like to increase production, but I'd like to maintain a balance: for every two stone quarries, I'd like to have one grain farm to feed the workers, without losing the pace of stone production. Obviously, this is a process that consumes time, resources, and dedication. With that in mind, I did a quick look at the land market to see how prices are in this region of the Great Lowlands.
En resumen esto es lo que tengo en Decs bloqueados y la cantidad de piedra que llevo acumulados, también aparece algo de grano no es mucho porque en última instancia uso caso todo lo producido para recoger la producción de piedra en las canteras. Llevamos hasta ahora 428K de piedra y la verdad es que me gustaría aumentar la producción de recurso, pero me gustaría llevar un equilibrio de por cada 2 canteras de piedra, tener una granja de granos para alimentar a esos trabajadores, sin perder el ritmo de la producción de piedra. Obviamente es un proceso que consume tiempo, recursos y dedicación, en ese contexto realicé un breve repaso al mercado de tierras para ver como están los precios en esta región de Great Lowlands.
Land Plot Prices in the Great Lowlands/Precios de parcelas en Great Lowlands
With the exception of grain plots, those lands that produce wood, stone, and iron are at unbeatable prices! Many of them even have unstable buildings and totems on them, so I think these assets are being sold for far below their true value. If it weren't for the fact that I'm currently investing my few cents in Conclave Arcana strategic cards, believe me, I'd be buying many of these common plots for $10 and the rare ones starting at $19. Although fully developing them would take a considerable amount of time, I wouldn't worry about buying them first and developing them much later; there are simply too many cards on the market, so you won't have any trouble getting good workers.

Muchos de ellos incluso tienen edificaciones y totems inestables en ellos, por lo que creo que estos activos se están vendiendo a un precio muy por debajo de su valor real. Si no fuera porque actualmente estoy invirtiendo mis pocos centavos en cartas estratégicas de Conclave Arcana, créanme estaría comprando muchas de estas parcelas comunes en 10$ y las raras a partir de 19$. Then we have the most expensive lands, the grain farms. Their value starts at $29 for a common plot, and rare ones range between $40 and $60. If you're not playing casually, acquiring one of these plots requires a significant investment, so I recommend carefully considering your goals if you're going to enter this phase of the game.
Luego tenemos los las tierras más costosas, las granjas de grano, su valor parte de los 29$ en una parcela común y rara se ubica entre los 40 y 60$. Aquí si no estamos jugando amigos, hacerse con una de estas parcelas requiere de una inversión importante, por lo que recomiendo evaluar con detenimiento que planeas proponerte si vas a entrar en esta fase del juego.
Forging my first craftable cards!/Forjando mis primeras cartas crafteables!
When the day finally arrived to craft, I checked my permissions to create these cards and found I had 7, based on the number of production points I generated. Each card required 187.5 ash obtained by burning cards, so I decided to burn Chaos Legion Rewards cards from my collection—I have hundreds—to create these first copies. All we needed were the Land resources required for each card.
Cuando finalmente llegó el día de craftear, revisé mis permisos para crear estas cartas y tenía 7 por la cantidad de puntos de producción que generaba. Para cada carta eran necesarios 187,5 de ceniza obtenidos al quemar cartas, decidí quemar cartas Chaos Legion Rewards de mi colección, que tengo cientos para crear estas primeras copias. Solo nos faltaban los recursos de Lands que requerían cada carta.

The fire card Thessok Hunter required 2000 stone, while the earth card Ghostly Blacksmith required 450 iron. Of course, I wasn't going to spend my land resources to forge these cards. I decided to sell some of my many second-layer tokens to buy DCs and use them to acquire those resources on the market.
Las cartas de fuego Thessok Hunter requieren de 2000 unidades de piedra, mientras que la carta de tierra Ghostly Blacksmith requiere 450 de Hierro. Por supuesto no iba a gastar mis recursos de lands para forjar estas cartas. decidí vender una parte de mis muchos tokens de segunda capa para comprar Dces y con ellos adquirir esos recursos en el mercado.
These cards currently sell for between $0.15 and $0.17, much cheaper than crafting them, so you might be interested in buying them on the secondary market. I made them for the sheer joy of creating handcrafted NFTs; it's something I've enjoyed since games like Diablo 2: LoD, and if they can be traded, even better! At first, I only wanted to create the fire card, but then I understood the potential of the Pain Forge ability when activated by abilities like Burning, which convinced me to create the earth card. Its advantage isn't just that; unlike Thessok Hunter, this card has a low mana cost and deals 2 magic damage. So far, I haven't found an opportunity to use these cards in modern ranked play. I'll upgrade them to level 5 to use them with the Foundation Archons, which I already have maxed out, and then I'll do a more complete review of these two interesting cards.
Actualmente estas cartas se venden entre 0.15$-0.17$ mucho más económicas que crearlas así que quizás te interese comprarlas en el mercado secundario. Yo las hice por el encanto de crear nft artesanales es algo que disfruto desde juegos como Diablo2 LoD y si puede tradearse mucho mejor! En un primer momento quería solo crear la carta de fuego, pero luego entendí el potencial de la habilidad Pain Forge al activarse con habilidades como Burning, lo que me convenció de crear la carta de tierra, su ventaja no es solo esa, sino que a diferencia de Thessok Hunter, esta carta tiene un bajo costo de mana y de 2 daño mágico. Hasta ahora no he encontrado una oportunidad de utilizar estas cartas en el ranking moderno, las llevaré a nivel 5 para usarlos con los arcontes foundations que ya los tengo al máximo y así hacer una reseña más completa de estas 2 interesantes cartas.

Well, friends, this was my report for the second week of April. We continue accumulating resources, fishing for card prices, and crafting cards. The future looks optimistic for Splinterlands despite the thorny valley Hive is currently in. Bien amigos, este fue mi reporte de la segunda semana de abril, seguimos acumulando recursos, pescando precios de cartas y crafteando cartas. El futuro parece optimista en Splinterlands a pesar del valle espinado en el que se encuentra Hive.
