4th report of the Golden Path: Opening my first Verico packs, Aurelius chest and plot production [Eng/Esp]
Greetings, citizens of Praetoria! Welcome to my fourth Golden Path report. We interrupted last week's report due to unforeseen circumstances in my country, but today is a special day to resume this weekly report: the sale of the Visions of Verico packs. I had already shared with you my first impressions of these cards in my most recent post dedicated to the community. Since then, I've been gathering the necessary resources to buy a few packs and see what cards we can get. Remember that these packs are only common cards, and when you open them, you'll find 20 of these cards, several of which are bi-elemental and have synergies if they share a bloodline.

Bienvenidos a mi cuarto reporte de la Senda dorada, interrumpimos nuestro reporte de la semana pasada por circunstancias de fuerza mayor en el país donde vivo, pero hoy es un día especial para retomar este reporte semanal, la venta de los packs Visions of Verico. Ya había compartido con ustedes mis primeras impresiones de etas cartas en mi más reciente post dedicado a la comunidad. Desde entonces busqué los recursos necesarios para comprar unos cuantos packs y ver que cartas podemos conseguir, recuerden que estos packs son solo cartas comunes y al abrirlos, vienen 20 de estas cartas donde varias de ellas son bi elementales y tienen sinergias si tienen parentesco de linaje.
By Monday night, I had managed to save enough to buy four Verico packs. These packs will be available until the end of July; after that, it won't be possible to acquire more unless you buy them on the secondary market. I couldn't buy more because I participated in the Electrofox or Volt Event. I don't regret my decision, but I would have appreciated some kind of roadmap for these events to prepare me better. In any case, we opened two packs to try our luck, since I'll be buying packs and several of these cards directly from the market throughout July.
Hasta el lunes en la noche logre reunir lo suficiente para comprar 4 Verico packs. La disponibilidad de estos packs será hasta finales de julio, luego de ese tiempo no será posible adquirir más a menos que los compres en el mercado secundario. No pude comprar más porque participé en el evento de Electrofox o Volt Event, no me arrepiento de la decisión que tomé pero me habría gustado una especie de hoja de ruta con estos eventos para prepararme mejor. En cualquier caso, abrimos 2 packs para probar suerte, ya que a lo largo del mes de julio estaré comprando packs y varias de estas cartas directamente del mercado.
The thing about these cards is that, for now, they are all common cards. I suppose that later on, sets containing higher rarity units will be released. But the reason these cards catch my attention is that they have a set of abilities that save us costs in managing our plots, such as the amount of grain needed to harvest, the reduction of Dark Energy Crystals needed to block workers, and, in the best-case scenario, increased production if they share the same lineage. Therefore, achieving a suitable combination of lineage with the elemental bonus for the biome type allows us to maximize the production of a single plot.
El detalle de estas cartas es que por ahora todas ellas son cartas comunes, supongo que más adelante saldrán sets que contengan unidades de rareza superiores. Pero la razón por las que estas cartas me llaman la atención es que tienen un conjunto de habilidades que nos ahorran costos en la gestión de nuestras parcelas, como la cantidad de grano necesario para recoger la cosecha, la reducción de Dark Energy Crystals necesarios para bloquear los trabajadores y en el mejor de los casos aumenta la producción si comparten linaje. Por tanto, lograr una combinación adecuada de linaje con la bonificación elemental por el tipo de bioma, nos permite aprovechar al máximo la producción de una sola parcela.
🃏 Featured Cards/Cartas Destacadas
If you've been following my Golden Path reports, you'll know that I'm focusing on producing and accumulating as much stone as possible. The grain plots I have are only generating enough grain to feed the workers in the quarries. My newest plots, one in Bredaine and the other in Oxborough, only have two workers producing, so this is the perfect opportunity to test the potential of these exclusive Lands cards. But first, let's see which of these cards have the most suitable elements and lineages for our plot.
Si has estado siguiendo mis reportes de la Senda Dorada, sabrás que me estoy enfocando en producir y acumular la mayor cantidad de piedra posible, las parcelas de grano que tengo solo están para generar el grano suficiente para alimentar a los trabajadores que están en las canteras. Mis parcelas más recientes, una en Bredaine y otra en Oxborough apenas tienen 2 trabajadores produciendo, así que esta es la oportunidad perfecta para poner a prueba el potencial de estas cartas exclusivas de Lands. Pero veamos antes cuales de todas estas cartas tienen los elementos y linajes más convenientes para nuestra parcela.

The first one, and my favorite, is Afrijan Reedhauler. I don't think I've mentioned this, but credit where credit is due: Splinterlands has once again excelled with the artwork for these cards. I'm from South America and I immediately recognized this Capybara when I saw it—I loved it! But beyond the art, this card shares lineage with the Electrofox on my Oxborough plot, which is also a Canyon biome and therefore also benefits from the 10% bonus for being a Dragon class. It's possibly one of the cards I'll combine until I get it to level 10.
La primera y la que más me ha gustado es Afrijan Reedhauler, creo que esto no lo he dicho, pero al Cesar lo que es del Cesar, nuevamente Splinterlands se ha destacado de una manera excepcional con el arte de estas cartas. Yo soy de Sudamérica e inmediatamente reconocí este Chigüire cuando lo vi, me encantó! pero más allá del arte, esta carta comparte linaje con el Electrofox en mi parcela de Oxborough, que es además un bioma de Canyon y por tanto también se beneficia del 10% por ser de la clase dragón. Es posiblemente una de las cartas que vaya combinando hasta llevarla a nivel 10.
The second card is Xiang Pho Sodbreaker, another dual-element card, but of the Life/Water classes. This card would be a very valuable piece for making the production of my grain plot in Bredaine more efficient. Bredaine is a Plains biome and therefore favors the Life and Dragon elements. On that plot, I have a Human Life card, so we could have two synergies there.
La segunda carta es Xiang Pho Sodbreaker, otra carta bi elemental pero de las clases vida/agua. Esta carta sería una pieza muy valiosa para hacer más eficiente la producción de mi parcela de grano en Bredaine que es de bioma Plains y por tanto favorece los elementos vida y dragón. En esa parcela tengo una carta de vida que es humano por lo que podríamos tener 2 sinergias en esta parcela.
We continue with the opening of our second Verico pack and continue getting new cards—in total, 54 exclusive land cards! Incredible! This demonstrates Splinterlands' commitment to this phase of the game and how complex it will become, because these are just the common cards; imagine what it will be like when the higher rarity cards are added!
Continuamos con la apertura de nuestro segundo pack Verico y continuamos consiguiendo cartas nuevas, en total son 54 cartas exclusivas para lands, increible! Esto demuestra el compromiso de Splinterlands con esta fase del juego y los complejo que va a llegar a ser, porque estas apenas son las cartas comunes, imagínate cuando se incorporen las cartas de rareza superior!
The first big surprise is that I got one of the mystery cards. It's a dual-elemental Life/Earth card with Elven lineage. These are the cards that give us entry into the giveaway for the chance to customize this card, so we're going to keep it. Now, we also got a second card with the Mundane Beast lineage: Ollistock Bull. This card is also dual-elemental Fire/Life, so we can use it in the Oxborough Quarry to synergize with Electrofox and benefit from the Canyon biome in that area.
La primera gran sorpresa es que me salió una de las cartas misteriosas, es bi elemental vida/tierra y linaje élfico, estas son las cartas que nos ofrecen participar en el sorteo para participar en la personalización de esta carta, así que la vamos a conservar. Ahora, también conseguimos una segunda carta con el linaje Mundane Beast: Ollistock Bull. Esta carta es también bi elemental fuego/vida por lo que podremos usarla en la cantera de Oxborough para que haga sinegia con Electrofox y se bonifique con el bioma Canyon de esa parcela.
I didn't get any more cards that shared the same lineage as my grain farm in Bredaine, but at least I got this beautiful dual-elemental death/life card that I can block. Its design is simply spectacular, its lineage is heavenly. I'll check if I have a card of the same lineage with high production to achieve synergy and improve output.
No conseguí más cartas que compartieran linaje con mi granja de granos en Bredaine, pero al menos obtuve esta hermosa carta bi elemental muerte/vida que puedo bloquear. Su diseño es simplemente espectacular, su linaje es celestial, revisaré si tengo una carta del mismo linaje con una alta producción para lograr la sinergia y mejorar la producción.
For now, these are the cards I got in this first opening of Verico packs. I'm going to wait until the weekend to see how the prices behave. If they drop even more than they already are, I'll buy these cards to initially level them up to 2 and start using the two abilities: Toil and Kin and Light Rationing, to get at least a 2% bonus to production and a -1% reduction in grain costs when harvesting.
Por ahora estas son las cartas que obtuve en esta primera apertura de Verico packs, voy a esperar hasta el fin de semana a ver como se comportan los precios, si bajan más de lo que ya están, compraré estas cartas para llevarlas inicialmente a nivel 2 y que empiecen a trabajar con las 2 habilidades: Toil and Kin y Light Rationing para tener al menos un 2% de bonificación en la producción y una reducción en los costos de grano al cosechar de -1%.
Volt Event: Opening my fourth Aurelius chest!/Volt Event: Abriendo mi cuarto cofre Aurelius!
Now we move on to opening our usual weekly Aurelius chest. There are almost 600 chests left! And we still haven't received a substantial reward in these past 3 weeks, let's see if luck is on our side this time.
Pasamos ahora a la apertura de nuestro ya acostumbrado cofre Aurelius semanal, ya quedan casi 600 cofres exactos! Y aún no hemos recibido una recompensa sustancial en estas 3 semanas que han pasado, veamos si la suerte esta de nuestro lado en esta ocasión.
Finally, friends! We got a Jackpot from these awesome chests! And although they're only ETN, this project really caught my attention. If it weren't for this collaboration with Splinterlands, I might never have known about it. Otherwise, we got pretty much the same as always: 50 glints, 2 energy, and a Foundation pack.
Finalmente amigos! Sacamos un Jackpot de estos geniales cofres! Y aunque ciertamente solo son ETN, este proyecto me ha llamado mucho la atención, si no fuera por esta colaboración con Splinterlands, quizás jamás habría conocido de este proyecto. De resto obtuvimos casi lo mismo de siempre: 50 glints, 2 de energía y un pack Foundation.
With what we've already been farming in recent weeks, we now have a total of 13,070 ETN, which is $12. As I said in my previous report, there are still many chests to buy with EVP! So it will be interesting to see how much ETN we manage to accumulate throughout this event. If I'm lucky enough to get a gold or even black foil version of Electrofox, I highly doubt I'll sell it because a card with the characteristics and advantages it has is worth much more within the Lands ecosystem than simply trading it for tokens.
Con lo que ya venimos fameando en semanas pasadas, ya tenemos un acumulado de 13070 ETN que son 12$, como dije en mi reporte anterior, todavía quedan muchísimos cofres por comprar con EVP! Así que será interesante saber cuantos ETN lograremos acumular en todo este evento. Si llegara a tener la suerte de conseguir una versión dorada o incluso black foil de Electrofox, dudo mucho que la venda porque una carta con las características y ventajas que exhibe vale mucho más dentro del ecosistema de Lands que simplemente cambiándolas por tokens.
⚒️ Plot production/Producción de parcelas
To close this report, of course, we couldn't leave out our weekly resource harvest within Praetoria; otherwise, the title "Golden Path" would lose all meaning! Our plots are located in the Great Lowlands region, where I'm dedicated exclusively to stone production, and a couple of farms in Bredaine and Hamford to feed my workers in the quarries. Now, with these new Verico workers, we'll be able to substantially improve grain production in Bredaine.
Para cerrar este reporte, por supuesto que no podía faltar nuestra cosecha semanal de recursos dentro de Praetoria, de lo contrario, el título de "Senda Dorada" perdería todo propósito! Nuestras parcelas se encuentran en la región de Great Lowlands y en la que estoy dedicado exclusivamente a la producción de piedra y un par de granjas en Bredaine y Hamford para alimentar a mis trabajadores en las canteras. Ahora con estos nuevos trabajadores Verico podremos mejorar sustancialmente la producción de grano en Bredaine.

With this grain, we proceeded to collect all the stone generated on our three plots. It's worth mentioning that the epic plot in Oxborough and the rare plot in Bredaine already have their five workers, and although they can be improved, they're already producing quite well. The common plot we recently bought, also in Oxborough, is still being developed. I need three more workers, and I want to complete it with Verico cards and evaluate how this improves its weekly production.
Con este grano procedimos a recoger toda la piedra generada en nuestras 3 parcelas, vale decir que la parcela épica en Oxborough y la rara en Bredaine ya tienen sus 5 trabajadores y aunque se pueden mejorar, ya producen bastante bien. Es la parcela común que compramos recientemente también en Oxborough que estoy todavía completándola, necesito 3 trabajadores más y quiero completarlos con cartas Verico y evaluar así como mejora su producción semanal.

We now have a total of 720,000 stone. With so many events being announced in Splinterlands, I've been tempted to sell it to buy packs, exclusive cards, and now these new Lands cards, but I'm staying firm and investing in improving my new plots. As I said before, I won't be locking these new cards this week. I'm going to wait until Sunday to see if they drop in price even further so I can lock them at level 4 or 5 and make better use of them, especially the Mundane Beast, Human, and Fiend lineage cards, to complete my two new plots in Great Lowlands.
Ya tenemos un total de 720K en piedra, con tantos eventos que han estado anunciándose en Splinterlands me he sentido tentado en venderlo para comprar packs, cartas exclusivas y ahora estas nuevas cartas de Lands, pero me mantengo firme e invirtiendo en la mejora de mis nuevas parcelas. Como dije antes, esta semana que esta corriendo no bloquearé estas nuevas cartas, voy a esperar hasta el domingo si bajan aún más de precio y así poder bloquearlas a nivel 4 o 5 para aprovechar mejor estas cartas, sobre todo las de linaje bestia mundana, humanos y fiend para completar mis 2 parcelas nuevas en Great Lowlands.
Well, friends, that was my summary of the fourth episode of The Golden Path! I think it ended up being quite long for my liking, but I needed to elaborate on these topics because they are inextricably linked to the future of Splinterlands in this Lands expansion. For now, I can only say that the future of Splinterlands looks bright and optimistic. The development of lands, the collaborations with Electroneum, and the increasing number of items that can be used in the main game demonstrate that this project has quite ambitious prospects and is only just getting started! Bien amigos este fue mi resumen del cuarto episodio de la Senda Dorada! Creo que quedó bastante extenso para mi gusto, pero necesitaba desarrollar estos temas porque inexorablemente están relacionados al futuro de Splinterlands en esta expansión de Lands. Por ahora solo puedo decirles que el futuro de Splinterlands luce brillante y optimista, el desarrollo de lands, las colaboraciones con Electroneum y la cada vez más incorporación de objetos que pueden usarse en el juego principal, nos demuestran que este proyecto tiene perspectivas bastante ambiciosas y apenas está comenzando!
