Gas prices have really chipped away at us as well as food cost. Everything is so expensive and can really beat the fun out of the summer.
Sorry to hear about your roof. My parents are going through a similar thing and despite having insurance through the same company for 50 years they look at them all side eyed like the Dogecoin dog.
So right now they are waiting to hear back on things.

Ugh, that sucks. I almost wish we had some kind of disaster so we could have insurance cover it, but that just isn't the case.
