With the World Cup in the rearview mirror, and the Athletes Unlimited softball season in the books, some of you might be looking for a new sports fixation to focus on. Sure, there is major league baseball, or you can flip over to ESPN 8 and watch some goofy sport like "roofball" (it's seriously a thing), or like me, you can start focusing your attention on the Little League Softball World Series and the Little League Baseball World Series.
Right now, young boys and girls all over the country are playing games to try to determine which teams are going to represent their respective regions when the big show starts in just a couple of weeks. Actually, on the softball side of things, those teams have already been set for the most part and we are just waiting for the games to begin.
In the Orange Bracket we have the following teams:

As I said, the tournament is kicking off on August 2nd with four games happening that day and then four more games happening the next day on August 3rd. August 4th we see another four games before we finish up with two games on August 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th.
I should point out the two games on the 9th are the championship game an the consolation game. It's going to be an exciting time and all of it is going to be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN 2. I'm really excited about this tournament. It will be interesting to see which teams have a lot of success and which ones struggle. It's a quite different experience when you realize these are just kids playing at a very high level.
