Game Three!
Well, you can't say they aren't making the Women's College World Series interesting now can you? After a huge 4 to 3 win by Texas Tech over Texas last night to stay alive, we are now looking at Game 3 tonight at 8 PM EST. I didn't watch the game, but it sounds like a lot of the win can be attributed to mistakes on the part of Texas. That's all part of the game though, errors happen and sometimes when they happen once, they can compound on you.
Just like that boulder rolling down a hill, it picks up speed before there is absolutely zero chance of stopping it. Given the fact that we don't have work tomorrow and we get to sleep in, I have a feeling @mrsbozz and I will be staying up to watch the final game of the series tonight.
As much as I think Canady is a great player, I personally think Texas is the more well rounded team. I guess time will tell though and by this time tomorrow there will be a champion. Be sure to check back next week when I give you and update on the final game.
Meanwhile, my niece is heading off to university for orientation this weekend. Before she does that though, she has two games with her travel softball team today. After a pretty frustrating school ball season, I have a feeling she is more than ready to get on the field with her Lasers Scarlet teammates.
At 1:30 PM today they face a Bombers team from Indiana, and then at 3:10 PM they go up against the Cincy Doom team that I think they have faced in the past. You better believe I will be using the Game Changer app to watch the games as much as I can.
Unfortunately, since she will be leaving right after the last game today to head to freshman orientation, she won't be able to play in the games on Saturday, but they do have two more on the schedule. The first will be against another Indiana team from the Crush organization and then finally a team from the Dreams organization also located in Indiana. Those are early morning games, so hopefully the ladies will be awake and ready to go.
