Back to Ohio
It's a big travel weekend for both my niece and my nephew as they both head to northern Ohio for softball and baseball respectively. My nephew is heading to Cedar Point for a week long baseball trip and I have a feeling it is going to be a tough go for them. Usually when you have destination tournaments like this, the competition is pretty fierce. Given the fact that his travel team has yet to win a game this year and they generally get blown out in their losses, it might be a hard time for them.
Despite all of that, my nephew still gives 110% when he is out on the field and I really have lot of respect for him in that manner. I don't think I would be able to do it. The fact that he shows up every game is a testament to his dedication and hard work. He's an amazing young man.
For my niece, her weekend starts a little earlier with games today at 3:00 PM and 4:45 PM just outside the Cleveland area. They face an Ohio Outlaws team first, and then they go head to head with a Turnin2 organization team. My good friend @a4xjeeper's niece used to play for a Tunrin2 organization team, so I know that they are usually pretty good.
I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before, but in the world of travel ball (softball and baseball) there are often different organizations. For example, my niece places on the Lasers Scarlet team. Lasers is the organization and then under that organization they have a handful of different teams in different age divisions. Hers just happens to be Scarlet. They also have a Gray team in the same age division as my niece as well as a couple others I think.
On Saturday, they have another two games of pool play, this time against a Cincy Doom team that they have faced many times in the past including last weekend. Then they have to once again face an Indy Dreams team that they played last weekend.
The Cincy Doom team they took a close loss to last weekend 4 to 2 and the Indy Dreams team they tied with 3 to 3. Hopefully they have some better luck against them this weekend. @mrsbozz and I will be watching the stream via out hotspot and laptop while we are camping.
