A bit cold

As you can see, it was a bit of a dual weekend for @mrsbozz and I. We had our nieces softball games running on the main TV via the ESPN+ app, and then we had the NCAA basketball games happening on the wall next to it with our mini projector and YouTube TV via a Roku streaming stick.
We got lucky and it was a pretty cloudy and dark weekend otherwise the image likely would have been washed out on the wall due to the sun coming in our picture window. We didn't have sound on the basketball games, but that wasn't such a big deal since commentators kind of annoy me most of the time anyway.
Radford opened conference play this past weekend against USC Upstate and it was a bit of a rough go for them. Definitely not the weekend they were hoping for. Things started off on Friday evening with a long game that went 9 innings with a score of zero to zero before Upstate had a home run to give them the walk off win.
Saturday was a double header that started at 1 PM and didn't end up finishing until somewhere around 7 or 8 PM at night. The first game went pretty quickly with Upstate getting a 3 to 1 victory, but in the middle of the second game, they had a rain delay that kept pushing the game back. When they eventually came back, Upstate ended up securing a 6 to 5 victory in the bottom of the 7th to walk that one off as well.
As you can see from the scores, the big issue with Radford this past weekend was their bats. They need to get those heated up. I don't mind if they give up a run here or there as long as they can get it back and get ahead, but that just wasn't the case. Our niece was able to score a run while she was pinch running in one of the games and she also had the chance to hit a couple of times. If I recall correctly, she got walked in one of the at bats and she flew out in another.
Radford is back in action tonight against Charlotte before they start a home stand this weekend against Presbyterian. We will be heading down to Virginia later this week to watch those games. I'm pretty excited about that.
Meanwhile, the Tiffin University Dragons have been on a bit of a wining streak lately. Going all the way back to March 14th with a win over Parkside. They took that game 9 to 1 in five innings, then they swept Davenport in a doubleheader 7 to 2, and 8 to 4.
This past weekend they played a doubleheader against Cedarville University sweeping them as well 7 to 4 and 10 to 1 in six innings. The Dragons are finally picking back up where they left off last season. They have a couple games tomorrow against Lake Erie College before taking on Malone University and Ashland University this weekend.
