Throwback to the Office Life: A Two-Day Relic of the Past
The office commute. That glorious ritual of dragging yourself out of bed at an ungodly hour, fighting through an ocean of red brake lights, and squeezing into an elevator with people who’d rather be anywhere else. Sounds fun, right? Yeah, didn’t think so.
But hey, at least it’s only two days a week now, instead of the five-day slog we all suffered through pre-COVID. I won’t pretend I miss those daily trips, but looking back, they did provide some great photographic opportunities. The blend of urban architecture, industrial vibes, and city lights reflecting off glass facades, there’s something about the contrast of rigid structures and fleeting light that just works.
From the steel-and-glass giants towering over the streets to the quiet glow of a wet city sidewalk at night, the office commute, while annoying, did have its moments of visual beauty. The morning sun hitting the high-rises just right, the reflections bouncing off the endless windows, and the occasional moody sky reminding us that even the corporate grind has its aesthetic moments.
So, while I’ll keep enjoying my work-from-home days in sweatpants, I can at least appreciate the snapshots of urban life that office days still provide. And hey, if I have to sit in traffic, I might as well get some cool shots out of it. Right???

Thank you! Yes, so am I... especially where I'm working now, the place from the pictures was smack in the middle of Brussels, so a lot do during lunchbreak. Currently, I'm in a small city at the edge of Brussels, but smack in the middle of industrial zone. Meaning going out for a walk or anything requires a drive to the open fields, for which I often don't have time. And less photo opportunities like these above...
But I'm glad with the way things are now (only 100% no office would be better :-) )
