Escaping the Grid—One Forest Path at a Time
Sometimes, the universe gives you a gift. Today, it came disguised as two canceled meetings on a Tuesday. Instead of back-to-back calls, I found myself with a gap wide enough to lace up my shoes and head for the legendary Hallerbos.
This forest doesn’t just walk the walk—it stuns the eyes. Vivid greens, sun slicing through fresh canopy leaves, and yes, those famed bluebells made their star appearance. I kept the walk modest, 2.5km, but my heart rate clearly thought I was climbing Everest. Apparently, “short walk” in Hallerbos lingo means “good luck with all the inclines.”
5,000 steps later, I was back at my desk, more energized than any double espresso could provide.
Moral of the story? When nature opens a window in your calendar, leap through it. Preferably with a camera.
