Too hot for gemini?

What is good folks? Welcome ya boy back to another episode of technology failing me when I need it most. So I am sitting in the sauna right trying to be efficient eh? You know how it is always trying to squeeze a bit more out of the day. Trying to stack wins while I sweat it out.

I had this grand master plan to use Gemini to help me write my posts. Figured I could just chat with the thing, let it record my brilliance while I cook in the heat, then have it summarize everything into a nice little Google Keep note. Sounds perfect on paper doesnt it? Like we are living in the future. I tried the voice note thing before just recording raw audio and transcribing it later. Man that was a disaster I spent more time cleaning up the mess than it would have taken to just write the post, The transcription tools just cannot handle the way I talk or the echo in there.

So I thought the AI chat would be the evolution. Actually having a back and forth. Letting it structure the thoughts in real time so I do not have to do the heavy lifting later. We started off strong. I was dropping some serious knowledge. Getting deep into the philosophy of things and really flowing. And then just like that it went ghost. Total silence. The thing just stopped responding... maybe Gemini just decided it had enough of my rambling and quiet quit on me.

It is incredibly frustrating when you build a workflow around these tools and they just faceplant. You think you have a system. You think you are optimizing your output. But really you are just creating new points of failure. It is supposed to be this seamless integration right? Talk to the bot and it saves to the notes like magic. But the moment you lose that connection or the model bugs out you lose that train of thought. I was really getting into the zone too. Had the whole structure laid out in my head. Now half of it is gone because I was relying on the digital crutch.

It makes you wonder about all these AI wrappers we use. We get dependent on them to do the heavy lifting. But they are flaky as hell. This is exactly why I talk about physical assets and things you can actually touch or control. Digital promises break. Cloud services hang. But a server sitting in your own rack or a hard drive on your desk is just there. It does not ghost you when the conversation gets interesting. It reminds me why I like running my own local stuff when I can. At least if my own server crashes I know who to blame. When big G decides to stop talking there is nothing you can do but stare at the screen like a dummy.

So much for the high tech content creation strategy. Here I am back at the keyboard typing this out the old fashioned way. Guess there is no shortcut for doing the actual work eh? Just me and the keys again. Sometimes the manual way is the only way that actually works. Ain't that the truth.
