The art

For this week we share a nice Julia set fractal based vase called bloom, that was made by virtox of thingiverse

The print

He had some version that are fully solid designed for spiral contour aka vase mode printing where only one outer permitter is printed giving you a seamless print.

I printed a few of these actually one is quite big and transparent but the one is in the bedroom on a high up 3d printed shelf so I am sharing these instead.

I printed them out of wood filament but notice how the one bellow looks rough

well I found this filament was not coming out nice until I lowered the temperature to 185 C what is interesting the manufacturer recommendation is 205-220 quite out of their range but that is what it took for me to get it to print nice and it came out fairly well, looks more like chocolate then wood to me but oh well lol
