Hot Swap dreams

What is good folks, As I mentioned not long ago in another post my new server was acting up getting all sluggish , there is no damn good reason for it to do that... unless something is wrong.

If you read the post you would no something is likely wrong, I got the server with 4 1TB sata drives, those are just consumer grade and don't belong there, but to make matters worse I set the 4 individual drives to act as one... Yolo as fuck basically

As I said the plan was to buy some SAS drives to replace these
And so I picked up 7 4 TB SAS drives and 1 6 TB drive.
I was hoping to just pop the 6 TB in clone everything over then shut down take out the sata drives out and populate with the SAS drives, giving me minimal downtime...

Well what do you know I need some specialty screws to hold the drive in the caddy, a flush one, I have screws that fit but the caddy can't slide into it's bay.

Where does that leave us ? I am not really sure yet as I am not really sure about the situation.
I have migrated the DOOK and DUO stuff back on to the old server.

The plan right now will be to shut it down after my backup is done, and then I take out the drives and pray each of the older 4 drives have screws, that would be the best case then I could just use 2 screws to hold 8 drives like I need.

Still not really sure how I will go about it I may just installing a fresh OS and trying to get it setting with ubintu pro free up to 5 machines and that could help reduce downtime in the future too as with pro the system can do a lot more updates without needed a reset.
