You can set up all sort of things as a server I even seen someone mod a vape and turn it into a server... The best bet for most folks is repurposing an old computer or laptop.

That is a great solution, there are other options but to be honest I think getting something like a used server is actually a great move.

They are made to be way more reliable and easy to work with like check this out, the little screen on the server turned orange indicating an error it says one of the Hard drives is not broken, I have a raid setup and so nothing is lost, but now my system is running without redundancy...

Well beside the screen the drive caddy is also showing a warning light so I know which one it is, and also the good news is that it is a super easy fix I do not even need to power down the server, I can change drives while it is on, it also has dual power supplies that can I can also swap out without powering down, that is the Enterprise advantage right there.

I took a nice old server and added some GPUS to make capable of doing local AI, the prices since have went up even more and my setup is now worth even more.
