What Makes A True Disciple Of The Lord Jesus Christ? ~ MCGI Topic Review.

It is not until Jesus Christ comes to meet you or your pastor and tell you that you are a disciple before ypu become a disciple of Christ. You do not really have to be chosen officially for it. Anyone can be a disciple of Christ and not only the apostles are the disciples.

If you want to know that you are a disciple, it means you have to follow the teachings of Christ and put them into practice.
Let’s go back to the days of our Lord, Jesus Christ. His disciples, the likes of Matthew, Thomas, Philip and all were not just following him but they were also doing what Jesus Christ does and were also preaching Jesus Christ to the entire nation.

The only time when you are worthy to be called a disciple is when you do what the Lord wants and says but if you do not do them, it meand you are not worthy to be called a disciple and you are not worthy to call him “LORD”.

If we look at the Bible, Luke 6:46 of the Bible says; And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Our Lord is very much correct here. Calling Him Lord and not doing what He asked us to is hypocrisy. You know he’s the Lord but you’re not doing what he asked you to so why call him or refer him as Lord?

Matthew 10:1 says; And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Why do you call yourself a disciple if you do not have power against unclean spirits? I know Jesus Christ may not be physically here to do that but with the spirit of the Lord, that can be done and you will be worthy to be called a disciple.

Anyone anywhere can be a disciple as long as you are ready to do what he asked us to do.
