Vaccines, A Very Important Part Of Our Lives.
Vaccines are medicines that we take into our bodies which is directed towards helping our immune system to fight diseases and prevent diseases as well.
Even though vaccines aim at helping us fight diseases, there are still some beliefs about vaccines. I won’t call them beliefs but superstitious beliefs.
I’ve heard some people say that vaccines causes autism. I’ve tried to know the relationship between vaccines and autism but I can’t relate. It is just a superstitious belief that so many people hold on to due to fear of what will happen to them after taking the vaccine.
During the Covid pandemic, after taking the vaccines, a lot of people fell ill and that’s because of their bodily reactions to vaccines or to that particular vaccine but to them, the vaccines make them fall sick and that’s why they do not advice people to take it.
That’s a wrong belief. People fall sick after taking vaccines is due to their allergic reactions to vaccines.
I will encourage total intake of vaccines because they protect us against infectious diseases. This way, when the vaccines introduce antigens into our bodies, it activates our immune cells so it can recognize whatever ailment that we may be dealing with.
Secondly, the use of vaccines is very good because it boosts our immune system. This, the vaccines will help to locate what part of our body is affected by the ailment we took the vaccine for, fights and kills the diseases.
I think there is a general thought or mistake that so many people make. A lot of people find it hard to take vaccines before they fall sick. The truth is, you do not have to fall sick before taking a vaccine into your body system.
Just like in the Covid pandemic, a lot of us got vaccinated even though we were not infected by the disease yet and with that, our bodies could prevent the disease and that’s why we were not infected.
If you ever find the opportunity to take vaccines, please do so. They have so many health benefits and we should never forget that we took vaccines as babies and that’s one of the things keeping us strong and alive till today.
