Speaking In Tongues! ~ MCGI Topic Review

Talking about gifts from God, he has guven us different gifts. Some of us can hear the voice of God. Some can see vision while some can speak in tongues.
What is speaking in tongues? It is speaking of a particular language other than your mother tongue or native tongue.

You can speak another language other than your native tongue when you learn it but when it comes to speaking in tongues, you don’t have to learn it. The Holy Spirit descends on you and lets you or gives you the chance to communicate in a language that you never for once understood.

The act of speaking in tongues isn’t a new or recent act. It has been happening since time immemorial. The moment you start speaking in tongue, that tongue there doesn’t belong to you anymore. That’s the tongue of the Holy Spirit.

Do you know the time or period in the Bible when the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles. Normally, what the speak is the Galilaeans but when God wanted them to speak in tomgues, he changed their tongue by making them speak another language entirely.
A language that is totally different from the regular one they usually speak.

The Acts 2:7 says; And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

But speaking in tongues isn’t weird. For example, if you’re an American, you’ll speak in Spanish language. It doesn’t not have to be the Spanish language but remember that I’m only using that as an example.

I think the only advice I can give is that when you are not gifted the act of speaking in tongues, do not force it. But when you are given that gift by God, make good use of it because that’s what God wants you to use it for.
