Overcoming Depression And Anxiety Biblically (Prt3/3) ~ MCGI Topic Review.
There is no way we can love ourselves more than how God loves us. God is the one who created us, own us and loves us dearly so there is no way he will watch us suffer or get depressed and never intervene.
We should put our minds at peace always and if we want to achieve that, we have to be preoccupied by what is coming forth after death.
In the Bible, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says, God of all comfort.” It says he is someone “who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
If we take a look at the story of Job, he never suffered depression in the Bible. All he did was accept his fate wholeheartedly even though that’s not what he wants or not his will.
If we check the book of Job 2:9-10 which says; Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity, curse God and die
But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
In a nutshell, all Job was trying to do is praise the Lord and the fact that he is not in a good condition doesn’t mean he should be depressed or sad.
Even though his wife had advised him to curse God which isn’t the solution to his hardship, he will never do that because God is the one who taketh and giveth.
All things belong to him and wil go back to him so if we lose something which can be painful, it should not be a source of depression to us.
The story of Job is a really inspiring story on the proper approach we are to take when faced with times of trials.
Our victory is in God's Word
