Marrying A Close Relative? ~ MCGI Topic Review.

Even if the Bible doesn’t teach us about some things, we should be smart enough to know them by ourselves. Everyone of us will surely get to a stage where we’ll get married or begin to have emotional feelings for some people even before we marry them but no matter how the feelings may be, there are so many people who we should never develop such emotions for.

Once it comes to the aspect of romantic relationships, we should never have such feelings on our family members or close relatives. Just like some people who will say that they get married to their siblings, cousins or nephews, it is bad and I’m glad that I am from a country where such thing is not allowed.
It is prohibited by God to have sexual relationships or get married to your kin.

Even before checking what the Bible says, science has also said that if you get married to your first cousin, you are most likely to give birth to a child with defects or health issues because you and your cousin are likely to have the same health issues.

Leviticus 18:6 says, None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.

If you ever see the nakedness of your cousin, it should be by mistake or you should not be the one to uncover his or her nakedness.
If God doesn’t support it, you should not do it or even move close to it.

Leviticus 18:7 says; The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

We can just spread this to the world. God never wants us to have romantic affairs with our kins and we should never give it a try.
