Is Watching Movies A Sin? ~ MCGI Topic Review.

Watching movies isn’t supposed to be a sin. It may be good to watch movies but what are we watching? We have to understand that movies are influencial. Movies have its way of penetrating into our minds and if possible, we will be thinking about what the movie says or what we watched in the movie.

If you are observant about the movies released in the past years, the majority of them are bound to influence us negatively. I mean, watching movies where they kill each other, movies that shows the nakedness of actors which is very bad. God doesn’t want such.
As a baby, I once tried out a very bad act which I watched in a movie and since then, my parents didn’t allow me watch movies anymore. That’s how influential movies can be.

Satan sees movies as an opportunity to penetrate into the lives of people. He wants people to try out the negative things that the movies showcases.

1 John 2:15 says; Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Talking about movies, it is a thing of the world. Let’s ask each other. Did God create movies? Was he the one who told us to watch movies or was it a part of the Ten Commandments? No! It is we humans who created it by ourselves and that’s why it is mostly filled with negative influence.

2 Corinthians 11:3 says, But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

The serpent has been looking for a way to get to us since the beginning of the world and he sees movies as the best opportunity.
We should rather stay away from movies as it can be a sin and we should not commit such sin.
