Hearing But Not Listening To God’s Word ~ MCGI Topic Review.

It’s actually not a new thing to hear the word of God but not heed it. There are so many people who do this which is a very bad attitude because it is one of the rules that we should always obey God.
If we want to define hearing, as Brother Daniel has said, the real meaning of hearing is to understand, to assimilate and to receive but so many people hear and not listen to Him. There are so many disobedient people like that.

Deuteronomy 28:15 says; But if you disobey the Lord your God and do not faithfully keep all his commands and laws that I am giving you today, all these evil things will happen to you

Let’s take the story of Noah as an example. If Noah actually didn’t listen to the words of God when he was told to build the ark, it is likely for Noah to perish alongside those who died. Despite the fact that he was mocked by so many people, he still didn’t give up and insisted on doing and building the ark which God has asked him to build.

Joshua 23:16 says; Then the anger of the LORD will be kindled against you, and you will perish quickly from off the good land which he has given to you

This is what will happen to those who hear the word of God and not listening to Him as this also means disobeying God.
Many times when something evil happens to us, it is because of the fact that we did not heed to the word of God.

Well, there are so many ways in which God talks to us. Many times, it may be indirectly but God will surely talk to you in a way that you will understand so it is left for you to listen to him.
