Creative Sunday ~ Making A Delicious Fried Rice.
Here in my place, fried Rice is a meal we eat either during Christmas, New Year or birthdays. We never get to eat it on normal days and that’s why one of my favorite childhood moment is any day our mum makes Fried Rice which is mostly on Christmas day.
Then, how do we make this almighty Fried Rice. Learn how to make fried rice from me so you can also put a smile on the faces of your kids by cooking it for them.
The first process of Fried Rice looks like that of Jollof Rice. Pouring some amount of vegetable oil in the pot alongside some onions. I’m not the type of cook who measure everything I put in my meal. I measure with my eyes and it works perfectly for me.
After then, I poured my sliced carrots and spring onions into the hot oil. This will aim at frying them before adding the next ingredient. For Fried Rice, it is essential to fry the carrot and spring onions so as to give the meal a nice scent.
The next procedure is the pepper. Just like we do for other meals, we pour some amount of red pepper but for fried rice, it has to be green pepper. Fried Rice has to be green and whatever we add to it needs to give the green color.
Then, adding my parboiled Rice. This part, I will reveal a few things to you. Before making the main meal which is fried rice, a few things like cutting the carrots and other spices, including parboiling the Rice has to be done. So, I’ll pour my Rice in the pot, add some water and start to mix and mix them up.
Merely looking at the Rice, it is already green in color if not fully green. What else gives the Fried Rice a green color? There we go. Then, we add our green peas, red peas, sweet corn, seasoning, curry and thyme.
I forgot to add its picture while pouring it in my meal but I took a picture of it in the plate.
That’s all. I waited for the little water in the pot to dry and I dished my fried rice. It doesn’t always have to be eaten with chicken. I had my Fried Rice with egg and cow skin.
Thanks for cooking with me and learning how to make Fried Rice.
